Purewhips 8 foot

Post by iwantamorganreelbad1 »

Hello COW,
I have recently sent off for a purewhips caramel 8 foot 8 plait and was wondering if it looked more LC or TOD.

Here it be:

I'm pretty sure that is a 12plt whip (luckily, the photo is large enough that you can count the strands).

What image provider were you using, i.e. imageshack .

If you're using imageshack be sure that when you click " browse" and after you click what you're going to upload, that you put

the resizer to "640x480"

If you're using photobucket, after you upload, there will be a resizer option, resize it to 640x480, then click on the direct link code

( that or forum code, I can't remember for photobucket ) then paste it to your post page. If it doesn't have the

things at the end of it already, then highlight the code you pasted and then click the things.

If you have any other questions about it just pm me and I'll do my best to help you.

USPS is taking too long. I'm already mad that USPS didn't know who WM was and I wasn't there, so instead of holding it they shipped it BACK to California Jones o'er at the Lounge, and he hasn't gotten it yet.

Why would they do that? Strange things, so they had it at your door, but nobody was there to sign for it?

Doesn't surprise me. I once shipped a box to a guy in NY who'd neglected to provide his apartment number, and the next thing I knew, it was back at my doorstep.

Out of all the whips that I have made and had shipped out. Only two have came back to me. The mail person was covering a sick call. The normal mail person would have known the name on the address. But I do feel your pain.

It got here and should be here later on in the day. Don't have a camera but I might load some pics. Can you do that on an IPhone?

Well, I got it last night, the Purewhips whip is AWESOME. It's got a nice caramel color, maybe a little darker than Indy's in Raiders when he says "Stop, stay out of the light."

I got 2 extra crackers, one I'm gonna use to replace for the whip, the other I put on my Todd's whip. Took it out for some cracks this morning (dewey and wet, not a good combination) so all i could do were some overheads. And boy does this thing ROAR!

This whip is longer than the todds. Also, is the fall supposed to be kinda flat at first, tapering down to almost round?

Will put up pics over the weekend.

Gee whiz! :?

I keep losing the cracker, and a couple days later it shows up again!

Which cracker-tying knot is most secure?

Take your pick.....http://indygear.com/cow/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=18232

I've always found #1 to be the most secure for me. However, YMMV.

I also like number two. Three is good for thicker red hide falls. Imp

I normally use 2, if you do it tight it stays.
