Captain America gets a new Jacket

Post by Mighty_Draw »

This is Indy related because the jacket is, in fact, brown. Although I am a less familiar with the Indy jacket as far as gear is concerned I did notice another detail that relates this new Cap jacket to Indy's, can you spot it? :-k

Darn, that was quick. Yeah, looks like the zip is on the left. I think I like the WW2 jacket from the current movie more that appeared in another post here.

I don't like this kind of jacket - too fussy. But it's a classic and familiar half-belt of the early 20th century and predates the Indy jacket which is closer in look to the 1980's than the period (1920's-30's) it pretends to be from. ;)

Kinda fits with the Cap's persona though. And it kinda is a physical representation of his predicament. A 1940's soul in a 2011 world. Something I think that most of us around here can identify with! ;)

I'd have to see more of the jacket but right now I kinda think it looks pretty cool. :tup: On a side note seeing those shots kinda makes me feel bad for the character. Going from the 1940's and waking up in 2011....talk about "future shock". :? It's kinda depressing...

Well... If it's from the avengers, then It's not meant to look vintage... remember, Captain's not in 1945 anymore. Also...
Has it ever been confirmed this is in fact Cap's jacket? Or maybe it's from Chris Evan's personal wardrobe? :-k

Perhaps referencing the state of his old jacket by the end of the film...

Actually, I believe that jacket will be seen on screen at least in the end of the movie. If you are worried about even the most minute spoilers don't look at these pics, http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0/40 ... super.jpeg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
