Documentary about Indy's Fedora

Post by robfilmmaker »

I made a short documentary about the discrepancies of Indy's fedora in the original trilogy. It's called "The Fedora Chronicles" and its here on youtube:

Check it out, you will enjoy.

EXCELLENT job on this, Rob!
I enjoyed every minute (PLUS, you've just saved me a lot of time and effort in the future... Next time people are asking me about the Indy Hat I can just sit 'em down and show them this well thought out, informative and funny video!)
:TOH:
Thanks so much for all your hard work on this... The final product is, frankly, GREAT.

I saw this over on the Fedora Lounge. So, I will quote myself from my reply there and it still flys as to my perception of your efforts:

Two thumbs up! Having worked in the industry (advertising, radio, television, etc.) and writing, producing, directing, editing pre and post productions, etc. I can only say that you may well have found a niche for yourself! Good research. Well thought out. Decent, believable writing. All in all a very good production. And, you didn't have to edit film, utilize old anitiquated equipment and on and on like we did back in the seventy's well into the eighty's to pull it all together. Again-- two thumbs up   ! W>

Bravo! Well done!
I enjoyed this production. Fantastic explanation of the Raiders turn and well documented with the best picture views. Details on the felt characteristics was a great discussion point, too.

Now do the rest of the outfit.

Thanks from the IG staff. ;)

Not meaning to sound glib, but listen to whom he credits it to. Rob asked permission first. He did a great job with it. HE goes to the main site. :TOH:

I caught that. All I was referring to is that he was intelligent enough to go to the 'ideal' place when researching and preparing his presentation. He is indeed fortunite that the major research done by IG was already there. W>

Well done! IMHO, the editing seems quite professional. There's only one problem: you didn't include two of the best Indy fedoras: the brown and gray hats :? from Crystal Skull. :) Perhaps a special edition of your video with "new footage" is in order? ;) In any case, well done!

:TOH: Best wishes,
Nebraska Schulte

As Mike said above, he asked permission to access the information from the main page, but no personally provided info was used from individual members, and all content and production is entirely his and his alone.

Other than giving permission to use the main page info, Indygear had absolutely no direct input or participation with this production what so ever and we saw it the same time you all did.

WELL done!

Wow, Its been a few days since I've been back here on the forums, and didn't expect so many good replies. I just want to thank everybody for their kind words, and to answer that one question, I have no relation to John Penman lol, I'm just a satisfied customer of his.
