Removing the "J" Tack from a Terry Jacka CS Bullwhip
I was wondering if anybody has bought a J Series bullwhip of Terry Jacka's and removed the J tack off the butt of the handle? I don't know if that would be possible and if it would, is it something that won't detract from the look of the whip? Any help you could give me would be great. Thanks!

I don't have one, but I assume that it is attached to the end there, so it would be like a hole in the end. Why are you wanting theIndyRiv wrote:I was wondering if anybody has bought a J Series bullwhip of Terry Jacka's and removed the J tack off the butt of the handle? J series without the J? If it's the color scheme I'm sure you can request the color scheme that you see in the pictures without the
J on it.

Thanks for your reply. I have my eye on a J Series whip and it's more within my price-range than a new one is at this point but it's the J series with the tack on the end. The whip would be for SA display purposes, so the J would need to come off it, hence my question. I'm just wondering how "noticeable" the hole would be or if it's an easy thing to do to take off the tack. The color scheme looks fine and I am aware that Terry Jacka makes both the J series and the regular series of this whip.riku1914 wrote: I don't have one, but I assume that it is attached to the end there, so it would be like a hole in the end. I don't think it would be too noticeable...

If I were you, I would personally save money and buy one without a J tack. I presume that if you remove the J tack, the whip will degrade. A Jacka whip is a Jacka whip, and the J series makes your whip unique to YOU. But to each his own, and I can't change your opinion for u. It's just that IMO, removing the J-tack removes the specialness and uniqueness of the whip.

It won't degrade the whip. If you left the tack in, and just displayed it so that the wrist loop was covering it, then you wouldn't
have another problem.
