Dang. Oh well. I envy them tho, id love to be at an estate sale full of vintage clothing then find a pair of Indy boots.

Probably not vintage. You'd need to see the code info on the inside and get Alden to confirm. They could tell you exactly when they were made.

Biggest deal breaker is the re-done soles and heels. Not done at the factory.

To be honest, I would not worry about that too much. The Alden factory rebuile service for me was a joke. All they did was replace the sole & heel. When I got them back, I spent 90 minutes picking dried glue from inside the boot on the bottom They didn't even put them on a last from what I can tell. Futhermore, the shoe trees they sent were both for left shoes instead of a left & right. Needless to say if I ever get a 2nd pair of Aldens & they need to be resoled or reheeled, I will just take them to my local cobbler.
