So I wore my LC Adventurebilt to England and Wales for vacation last week. Everytime I wear this fedora, no matter where it is I get compliments on it. One time I went to the local Pizza place and the guy behind the counter goes..."Now that's a fedora!"
I got a few compliments on it on the trip too, one of which was from the customs official at Newark Intl!
Another came from when I was walking thru a area known as Neal's Yard in London, there was a few guys and a camera crew standing in front of a store...I had my KOTC backpack on and my fedora...I must have stuck out as they approached me. They asked if they could ask a few questions I agreed. They said " If you could interview any person in the world who would it be, and what would you ask?"
When on the spot like this best I came up with was a few uhhms and uhhs. After a few seconds someone leaned into the interviewers ear and whispered something while he snickered. Then he goes to ask..."would you interview Indiana Jones because of your Fedora?" I respond " Ohh yea, of course! I love Harrison Ford, plus we have the same flight instructor (which we do, in Andover airport NJ) so I'd ask him about flying..etc" They said it wont be on telly, but thanks for the interview.
Funny eh?
So while walking around London later on fedora got wet as it was raining out...so much so that the liner got stained a bit from the water. It must have shrunk after it dried as it was a tad tight before but now it's too tight to wear comfortably....any suggestions?
I was thinking of getting a hat stretcher from Penman...would I have to spray the fedora with water first before I put it in the stretcher?
Thanks!

What you want to do is unfold the sweatband and wet the back side. Then fold it back into the hat and the use the stretcher.
