Peters Bros: Hats- excellent; service- resolved.

Post by Luke Warmwater »

Back in May I ordered online from Peters Bros an Indy Straw hat. In mid-June, with no communication from them, I called to check on my order. The lady who answered the phone could not find my order and said they had been having problems with their online orders. I gave her the information for my order. She told me the order would ship in early July.

On July 13 I called again to check on my order. It took some time for them to locate my hat, but she finally did and said it would ship on the 15th.

Today I came home and found on my step two boxes.

The hats are very nice. The one on the left has a much higher crown and a black ribbon. The one on the right is a darker brown color and has a brown ribbon. I like the taller one better. If my wife doesn't want the other one back it goes (although PB says they don't offer refunds but this screwup is theirs).

Does anyone have any experience dealing with PB and know of a specific person that I might ask for? Any help here would be hot.

Contact Joe Peters directly at joe@pbhats.com. Include these photos in your correspondence.

(before anyone asks why the bow is on the wrong side of the crown, he apparently shot the photos in a mirror. ;) )

I agree. I like the taller one in the left photo as well, though the one on the right looks like my daily wear PB straw :-k .

I called my credit card company and it seems that they only charged me for one hat. :-k

Now the dilemma begins.... [-o< [-X

I'll email Joe and see what he wants to do. Maybe he'll say, "Keep it."

Give them a call. They are really good people and I am sure this is just a simple error there. W>

That doesn't even look like the same hat in those two pics. Does the pic on the right have a C-dent? I've looked at their site. I didn't know that there were other colours available other than Indy brown.

It isn't. Those are two different hats, arch. Luke kept one and sent the other back. The issue was about the refund on the returned hat, which Joe Peters just responded to above yours that the check will be in the mail tomorrow.

Problem resolved; check received. Sorry to hear about your health problems, Joe, but someone at your company needs to keep on top of things like this or people (like me) get the wrong impression.

I am a satisified customer again.

Not the first time I've heard that. Thanks. :TOH:

John? Don't you mean 'Joe'? ;)

Unless Joe is aware there's a problem, he can't fix it.

He finally found out. It was fixed.

Glad you got your check. :TOH:
