Old Tax Code and Whip Cracking

I was going through the Tacoma newspaper on Saturday and came across and article about how the city finance director wanted to review the 157 page tax code to update it. In the code it talks about licenses required for different types of Theaters and Shows, such as vaudevill shows, moving picture shows, etc. Obviously stuff thats obsolete.

It describes a Class 2 Theater or Show as "Exhibition of living creatures, freaks, natural and artificial curiosities, whip cracking, rope twirling, lariet throwing, shooting, and other amusements not otherwise contained herein."

Nice to know we are in such good company. I forwarded a copy to the WWAC.
