How to protect US Wings striated leather Legends jacket?
Imported, if that matters.
I would like to keep this jacket nice only in that I don't want it to stain, get brittle, crack, get stiff or get rough to the touch. I know it's supposed to break in and age quickly which is fine.
Do I need to apply anything right away? Do I need to protect it from water?

I Remember reading somewhere here about a leather conditioner that works wonders. Somebody keeps mentioning it and for the life of me I can't remember who said it and what it's called?
...
PECARDS
Yeah, that's it...
BTW it can be bought online or at any Star Trek convention!

Congrats on the jacket! Just type in "Pecards" (as Tennessee Smith mentioned) in the Search function, and you'll find lots of info. It won't take long to find what you're looking for.
Best wishes,

Have you searched to see if the question of the best product for this particular jacket has already been answered? Or if a particular jacket or leather matters for this product?blueoakleyz wrote:Nah.. Okay nevermind. This is why I hate coming to these forums. People are absolutely obsessed that people search for things. More so than the actual hobby. Forget it.

I think the annoyance may be because you have a history of wanting others to do the research for you instead of just doing it yourself.blueoakleyz wrote:Okay nevermind. First you say I've made stuff up. Ok when? I'VE NEVER MADE ANYTHING UP. This is part of your imagination.
Then you say I have no interest in this stuff, another thing that's just part of your imagination.
No I don't care about other people's time. If they are here, it's because it's about a hobby, not some paid expense. If they feel like answering, that's their perogative. If they know an answer then all they have to do is hit reply and write a couple things. If they don't know or don't care then they don't have to. It's not some big issue or big deal.
And to say I don't actually have any gear? What, am I poor?

I don't know who you are, or why you feel like harrassing me. If you feel that way about me then fine. Please refrain from posting in my topics, or replying to my posts. I am asking this as a favor. Please do not try to stalk me and tell people who YOU think I am or how I am. You don't know me. Thank you.

Blue. you HAVE an history of expecting everything handed on a silver plate when all you can do is to actually just look for it yourself. There are many many threads on how to help the leather stay new, supple.etc. all you can do is just LOOK. all the energy you have wasted creating theads here on COW about ''I feel people are nicer here'' you could have used the search. It doesn't ad up.
I'll lock this one down as you by now have gotten your answer.
