If I didn't already have 2 pairs of Aldens, I'd probably buy these. I still may pick up pair. This hobby of ours is terrible on discretionary funds!

Nice find. They may be among the closest close-enoughs I've seen yet. Good color, too.

I have also dealt with Zappos, and can recommend them as vendors.

Yeah, I've gotta agree... there's something charming and appealing about such a soft, floppy looking vintage-style boot.

I'll probably add it to my list of things already on my "If I Win the Lottery Tomorrow, Here's One More Thing I Could probably Live Without But Would Still Like to Have" List.

Bummer it looks like they have only one width, which is D-Medium. I unfortunately have a very wide, short feet, 8.5 EEE, and with high insteps. In these cases I've had to by the 9.5-10 size and there always way to much room in front of my toes. It ***** to be 6'1" and have my feet. It would **** at any height, because it's hard to find shoes in my size.

Hello members - indeed a lovely boot and perfect for cruising on my road king, but unfortunately no size 9 or 9.5. Someone mentioned a bit pricy and I kindly agree compared to a red wing, but again red wing doesn’t produce this style.

The leather also looks different on the Vintage site, could be the lighting. I personally like Zappos, if they are old stock I best find me a pair in size 9, unless someone had a pair of used Aldens in the same price range.

Check out this website called At the Front Shop. They make replica WWII military boots. The shoes for $150.00 at the top of the page look close to Aldens. And the style is from the right era. I'm not looking for a new pair of boots myself, but these look nice and rather affordable for a leather boot.

I just got my pair of the WWII German M42 low boots, which are the same as the USMC roughout, but hobnail soles and cleat heel. Took out the hobnails as they are too #### noisy, and dangerous on anything short of dirt/mud.
ATF is a great place, and the site is funny as ####. I recommend them, but keep an eye out on sales. I got those boots 1/2 price off a little while back. I se them for Russian WWII events, but I guess they're kinda versatile...

Corcoran makes some great boots. I wore nothing but Corcorans when I was in the Army (Special Forces).
