What can I use to soften a leather strap?
Just finished my latigo strap for my MKVII, but the thing is really stiff and not very flexible...I would like to know what I should use to help soften the leather up and maybe also darken it a little at the same time?? I am sure some sort of Pecards, but which one would work best?
Thanks for the help!

Michealson is right... that stuff's the best.
I have to add: Break it in with use- while watching TV just work the jell in and bend the strap over and over again. [Again... I might be posting the obvious.]
Thanks to our mentor, I got some of that stuff and worked it into my holster and twisted and bent it in every direction till looked and acted properly.

Michaelson is talking about the Pecard Jell. It can be purchased through the Pecard website at

Are there any retail stores that sell Pecards products. I hate running up a bill on my credit card with all this online ordering. I'd like to use some cash dollars, too, for this hobby / lifestyle / uncontollable obsession
I guess there are worse things to be obsessed with. My ex-girlfriend liked to dress her cat up in mini tuxedos--but I digress...
BTW--No, it wasn't the ToD tux, try as I may

You could always use your ATM/Debit card for online orders as long as it has a Visa logo on it. Then it's just like writing a check for your gear, and you're not running up a huge credit debt.LuckyLighter wrote:Are there any retail stores that sell Pecards products.
