Antique lamb pulls of the LC look.

Post by Holt »

today I pulled out my USW Antique Lamb jacket again. Everytime I put it on and I feel such a good LC vibe. more then what I do with my antique cowhide. Just for fun, I decided to take a few shots of the jacket now that is is soon a year older. IMO it pulls of the LC look very well.

and yes, I took these in my laundry room. very Indy, I know. lol.

That Antique Lamb DEFINITELY does a great job of creating that LC "look"... No doubt!

NICE jacket, Eric... now don't spill any BLEACH on it! ;)

Wow! I really like the look of that lambskin, Holt. I agree, the antique look with all of its beautiful undertones pulls off the LC style quite nicely. :TOH:

That has really broken in nicely! I can't wait for mine to look that way. Did you do anything special to it, or just wear the heck out of it?

Holt, great looking jacket!

Did you have to add the LC buttons on the stormflap or do they come that way standard?

That's a great lambskin. And a good USW LC design. Glad you posted those.

Thank you. I only gave it a shower it and put it on. I also cut into the lining and removed the elastic band that kept the pleats closed.

Holt,

That jacket DOES exude a strong LC Vibe.
I've never seen a USW in that hide before.
How old is it?

Ok, so is this the signature jacket? That one is in antique lamb. But this jacket looks like the hero pattern, and that one is only available in antique cow. I'm just confused. Its happens to me ALL the time though!

Gotcha! Thats the lightweight lamb right? Looks nice. The ONLY reason I got rid of my Hero antique cow was because of the sleeve length...

Heck of a jacket there, Holt! I can see why you would catch the vibe.

What size is that by the way?

Isn't it great when this happens? I have seen many jackets on this site that look better than the film versions. Especially the Raiders jacket. All I ever wanted was a jacket like the film one only better made and not as worn out. ;)

These are very light weight. Almost as light as my old Wested lamb. The antique look is different from the distressed look, too. The finish is unbroken, so the coloring is what makes it "antique."

I keep wearing mine when they predict rain, but so far the forecast is never correct when I have it on. :( I don't trust house water, so I guess I'll have to keep waiting for a downpour.

That jacket looks incredible in these pics! I gave mine to my brother in law, and right now am feeling a powerful stab of regret. It will pass. He did not have a good leather jacket, let alone a great looking Indy jacket. The Antique cowhide Hero satisfied my LC jacket requirements so completely I just wasn't wearing the Lamb.

Man, that does look good!

I do have to say that you have the look and physique, (like Harrison) to be able to "throw on" any old Indy jacket, regardless of cut or quality and make it look perfect!

("Oh this old thing? I've had it for years!" :P )

Michael :TOH:
I just sent him a PM saying the same thing. I don't know if I should be happy for him or ticked off. :-k He could probably make a white cotton bathrobe look like a SA jacket.
