Wested Lamb, six years on

Post by Lord_Clarence »

I've been meaning to do this for a while: some shots of my jacket, purchased in 2005. I can't believe I've had it that long. Other than a single acetone rubdown shortly after I first got it, this is all natural. Truth to tell, I've only ever treated the leather once, also. Shame on me, perhaps, but it's holding up great and weathering nicely. It doesn't suffer a lot of abuse, but I don't go out of my way to baby it, and I think this Authentic Lamb has held up just fine.

I live in the sunny Sacramento Valley, so I only get two seasons out of it, plus any trips to the mountains. I look forward to another six years with this great jacket!

nice natural distressing.i have a wested lambskin and tend to think of the lamb as more of a "dressier" leather and so tend to wear it 'only on special occasions'- looks like the lamb is a tougher leather than i thought.

Heh, gotta be honest, the back doesn't look like much. A mark here and there, and the corners of the yoke are rubbed off. But I'll put up some more shots and link to them soon.

Thanks for all the comments, folks! Back in the day, I really envied the distressers out there, couldn't wait to have a lived in look, but Michaelson talked me out of it, and now I can't believe how the time has flown by, and I have a jacket with the scars of my own life.
