I should point out that even the cotton jacket is made from a heavy gauge fabric, but, yes it is somewhat cooler than leather. I have toyed with the idea removing the lining altogether, but English summer is seldom THAT hot.fenris wrote:I'm a NO jacket guy... but this is what I want! I think you have an opportunity to blaze a new trail by posting some informative info. about that jacket, EW. Just a thought.

I have already posted a thread about how I waxed and textured the cotton.Texan Scott wrote:I think you have an opportunity to blaze a new trail by posting some informative info. about that jacket, EW. Just a thought.

What I don't want is to be drawn into a protracted thread about the exact dimensions of every seam and popper

I think the persons best suited to discuss the exact dimensions or SA-ness of the cotton Wested are... Wested... and they are [quite rightly] too busy running a business to indulge such OCD.Michaelson wrote:Why not? You'd be the darling of every stitch counter who resides here!

s far as I'm concerned it's an SA jacket as a cotton wested was used for the Hovito's chase.

I just have the one Wested. When it wears out I will get another. After five years it is starting to get good and naturally weathered.
