In the last weeks I received to wonderful packages, one from Magnoli Clothiers and one from Wested. Each contained a pair of Indy pants. Both are great quality pants but of course vary a bit in the details. Let´s start with the Adventure Pants from Magnoli, this one is a wool blend in Camel. To me the cut looks great and is extremely comfortable to wear and I´m really happy with the (for some) baggy look.
The Wested pants are also very nice, but as everyone here knows they tend to taper a bit too much in the legs for some. After ironing out the crease it got better and if I wouldn´t have the Magnoli for comparison I would probably say this is it for me.
The colours seem to match most scenes I can think of, but as we all know colour is a very sensitive topic.
Allright, here are some pictures:

Nice comparison photos. It is easy to see the differences between the two, but they both look to be very nice. I personally like the more straight cut of the Magnolis, and they seem to fit you perfectly. Those Wested ones have a great color, though...
How do they compare in terms of material thickness/weight?

Re: Magnoli and Wested pants
I have wanted to see what the magnoli pants would look like in this type of fabric. Looks very nice! I have a pair of the Wested trousers and I love them! The color of the Wetsed trousers to me has always been a perfect match to what I see in Radiers. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, I totally forgot to add that. Both are quite thin but the Wested is slightly thicker and weights a bit more.
However that is barely noticeable.
I don´t think you can go wrong with any of these pants.

Great comparison work Tremolo!
I own both Magnoli and Wested, too, and they are superb!

Magnoli's are perfect, I love the color and fit. Wested's look too narrow in calfs and too baggy in thighs.
Re: Magnoli and Wested pants
Thanks everyone!
The only special thing beside my measurements was the the option loosely fitting. These pants are the most comfortable I have and feel wonderful. I´m curious to see how both will hold up.

...may be in the minority here, which has happened , but the Wested color, flaps, etc., look near spot on. Take a look at the main site..?

Hey All,
Texan Scott, I'm with you on the color, but Magnoli has the details better. The sloped shaping seam over the back pockets, the false waist band, number of belt loops and the fact they have no top stitching- Magnoli has those details really right.

Wested, well, they're cavalry twill, but Tremolo chose a different fabric, so that's not Magnoli's fault. And Wested has good color by all acounts. That's about it for Wested. They should by all rights have the best pants out there, but won't improve the pattern. Oh well.
Right now, if want screen accuate Indy pants, the closest out there by a long shot are Magnoli's. The only downside is that whole 'other-side-of-the-world' thing. Again, not Magnoli's fault.
Tremolo, congrats on the pants! 'Nough said.
