Swell Close-Enough™ shirt at H&M!

Post by Snakewhip_Sable »

It even has the front pleats!

Some silly knots on the epaulets, but they're easily done away with.

These go for $35.00 Canadian! ...and at the moment that's the same as US dollars. ;)

Wow, that's pretty cool, might have to check these out, looks almost like Azuma's shirts.

Very interesting - I was walking past Eddie Bauer the other day and noticed that they had brought back a "safari" theme - I think the outback/adventure look is back in vogue (hasn't been since the 1980's)

Another pic. (Please remove my post on the same subject). ;)

Checked them out today, a little too "yellowish camel" colored for my likings though... There's a white, a light denim and a dark blue one aswell.

Regards,

That's annoying, US customers can't shop online and the closest stores to me are at least 2 states away.

It doesn't appear that Canadian customers can shop on line either. I plan on journeying into H&M and seeing for myself!

They tend to completely ditch their entire stock every few weeks, but this might justify going down to my local store. Maybe I'm not too late.

Front pleats - I'm glad SOME general clothing line got it right finally!

I'm actually looking for a couple pair of these shirts to use and wear on daily adventures/travels and to have the pleats already in place would be a big plus. My first shirt I ever bought was a Cabelas stone color in cotton/poly blend. After a considerable amount of searching, I finally was able to find a "close-enough" fabric to have my seamstress make the pleats out of. After all was said and done, I paid about the same as a Todds and 1/2 as much as Magnoli's and got a "close-enough" shirt out of the deal. It was fine for a couple of days but the cotton/poly blend was just too uncomfortable for me. I would have rather saved up a little more and bought a Magnoli instead.

How are the epaulettes on the shirt? Are they fairly SA to LC?

Thanks for posting the shirt. Hopefully places like Cabelas as well will start doing the same with the pleats.

Neer mind the epaulets on these shirts - the collar is extremely annoying - the pics really don't show it - but the wings of the collar are really short - it looks very odd on the shirt IMO -- it was the deal breaker when I went in to see it.

The epaulets have two crossed straps across them... like an 'X'. It looks a little silly, but I still plan on getting one. It's the closest off the rack Close-Enough™ I've seen, ever.

Hey Snakewhip. Glad to see your message. Nice to see some Canadian Indygear tips. I will go and check out this shirt. There is an H&M across from where I work.
Thanks for the tip.
