Man this thing is nice. It slides on like buttah, doesn't turn when I shake my head, and centers itself right where it needs to. Thanks Hollow, and thanks John for turning out such great hats.

Considering the nature of the hat box, the packing job was great. The hat didn't move and it fit in the box just fine!

Nothing like a lived in Penman. It really suits you. Sad to see you give that one up, though Travis. Its a fine looking hat. But, it lives on in another's home...on another's head. And always remember to offer your nearest Penman a drink when you are drinking. It gets soaked through the felt and into John's stomach...please give your hatters alcohol...they need it for having to deal with out shenanigans.

I love this hat box. The lid is so snug that I actually had to think about it before realizing that it really was that snug fitting and all I had to do was pull it off. The hat is shelved at work brim down over hanging the edge of the shelf near my desk, and at night it goes crown down in the top of the closet. The hat box has its own spot, but not where it can be used for storing the hat between wearings. I keep hoping it will snow again just so I can wear it outside.

I always loved the looks of this hat. Hollowpond posted some pics wearing it in washington dc. I always thought this lid was a great LC. This is a great acquisition.
