My new Wested lambskin

Post by CRB »

Bought a replacement for the cow one I sold. This one is dark brown lambskin, a custom fit (which I feel is exactly right). I changed the zip to nickel No.5 as I think that's one of the key looks to the jacket. Size 42. I notice Wested have started using a "sparkly" badge which is nice.

I didn't ask for much special really. Just had longer sleeves than standard, dark brown lambskin (no other skin specifics), sliders not D-rings and a No.5 nickel zipper. Sorry about photo size.

Very nice! I agree, seems like we're seeing Wested getting back in stride and putting out some great stuff. I am REALLY excited to see the new hides available.

well, I have this ''washed veg tanned lambskin''. it's very dark collor and has a very brown/redish underbelly. I just washed it and it gets loads of character. it's not a shrunken skin. it's at a good thickness, not stiff, good drape and VERY raidersy looking. and that it is veg tanned makes it more durable for harder wear.

I think I have decided, my next will be in this skin.

correction: the sample says 'shrunk lamb'

hmm.. still dont know if this is the new one Peter is talking about. The skin sampe I have IS very nice tho...

It looks like wested is really getting the pocket flap to pocket ratio about right. Way to go Peter! Also this Dark brown lamb is the bomb for raiders...

Really slick, CRB. I'm almost ready to put in my first order to Wested, and it's going to be very similar to yours.

Peter, you'll be hearing from me soon!

Beautiful jacket, congrats! Fits you perfectly.

I've loved both Westeds that I've owned and am tempted to order another, after seeing the beauties that Team Wested is putting out, maybe a LC or a CS. The Das Boot/Dr. Who jacket looks sweet as well...man, I might need another job soon! :)
