Super Whip Holder by Wade Egan **PICS**

Post by generalFROSTY »

To compliment my new Joe Strain whip, I was more than happy to invest in one of Wade's super whip holders based on alot of positive feedback from previous buyers.
Wade was in the middle of transitioning to a new workshop so delivery of it was slower than usual for him but the quality of the product is well worth the money and the wait.
I will post some pics soon, but in the meantime I just wanted to say how great this whip holder looks AND performs. Just as advertised, it really DOES hold that whip in place!
Screen accuracy? In this case, screen accuracy can kindly take a back seat - THIS is the whip holder Indy would use in the real world, no fishing line needed here! I know we have some gearheads that are so obsessed with SA that they would want to use fishing line for thier whipholder, but considering how very little you actually SEE Indy's whip holder in the films, I would say this whip holder not only looks the part but performs the way every gearhead needs it to.

COW member "generalFROSTY",
Wise investment made, sir. Enough positive words cannot be said about Wade Egan's super whip holders. I have several of his super whip holders. Needless to say, worries about my bullwhip slipping out of place are non-existent. Highly recommend that product.

When I got it in the mail this morning, still in my pajamas, I threw on my belt and whip and went running through the house, jumping and ducking and fighting imaginary Nazi soldiers. My fiance thought I was nuts....but we know different don't we! :D

There is a certain confidence gained while wearing Wade's super holder.....I can hear the faint creek of the leather as the whip swings while I walk and I keep looking down to see if I can catch it trying to slip - I guess that is leftover habbit from my standard whip holder.
Another thing to note is the classy look of it - I really like the double-wrap look and it is still very easy to unleash the whip when you're ready for action.
As soon as I get my Magnoli trousers and my hat back from John, I will post some photos a video.

The next opportunity I have when someone is around to take a photo, I will show it holding my whip. It's very comfortable to wear - and feels really 'cool' when you whip is hanging from it.

Here are a couple of pics below. This spring, I plan on doing some gear videos which will also better illustrate how well this holds the whip during movement.
In the pics, I'm not wearing my standard Indy pants, but wearing my new Wested, Wade's strap, genuine MKVII, Todd's belt, Joe Strain LC whip and the AB shirt. pics taken with the flash on.

Thanks for the kind words everybody! :TOH:

Jimmy - if you wrap it around toward the back it gives the viewable 'profile' more of a screen accurate look. ;)

I had it wrapped inward when I first tried it on the other day, but for the picture I was struggling to put it on while wearing the belt and it ended up going outward - but I know what you're saying and I will be sure to keep the strap toward the back.

Congratulations General! Wade's Super Holder is fantastic! Not once will your whip ever slip. I jump, run, and do everything and it doesn't slip. All of Wade's gear is great. :D

Yep. I have one in Wades Ebay store on my eternal watch list, so one day soon when I see it in my list I'll let the impulse win and get it, but somedays it's tough to justify the $40 (okay, $35) on a strip of leather that will hardly ever see any use...

that's why I keep those things in my watch list because I know sometimes that voice of logic is asleep when I'm playing on Ebay

Those are great shots and the great color makes me want one even worse now! Well Done FROSTY!!! :H:

I'm sure Wade appreciates your positive words about his products!
My little side business has been good to me so far this year, so I've had a lot more money in my budget to spend on Indygear than I did last year when I joined. Since my passion for this hobby has not decreased but only been more inspired, I thought it would be fun to upgrade my gear to the higher-end products I had only previously dreamt about buying.
If you don't plan on using your whip holder a lot, then there really is no need to upgrade to a super one - but it is worth the money for how well the product works and pays for itself as soon as you start wearing it and realize your whip is staying put!
