Some accidental cool shots of my lids...
These were in a bathroom stall...NO NOT ME, my 2 year old daughter needed to go and if you have atwo year old on the potty, you know that takes time so, while I was bored, I took some shots that I think came out kinda neat in the lighting...

Absolutely gorgeous lid you have there, Gorak!
I, too, am a fan of Jason's SOC bash.

Re: Some accidental cool shots of my lids...
Thanks all for looking...I know there are tons of hat pics all over but like having anewborn, we all seem wanting to post pics and talk about the first time our hat stood up on its own, the first time the ribbon showed just the right darkness and so forth...I appreciate your time.
Mr. Holt- The first hat is my old reliable over 8 year old AB.
The Cairo Project is an Allessandria I bought from PeterBros. back in their heyday on Indygear. Great soft felt. I almost through it out but just couldn`t bring myself to do after knowing I spent $300 on it so I TOTALLY refurbished it using my own odds and ends and I ended up pretty happy with it.

Re: Some accidental cool shots of my lids...
I think this may be the "Hat Version" of when someone says "Hey, you know what place has great acoustics for when you're singing? A shower stall / bathroom / airlock / etc..."
"Hey," says Gorak, "you know what place has some nice, soft lighting that just looks so cool on my fedora?" ...
Gorak, my friend... these shots are great and I have to agree that the lighting in that bathroom looks very cool on that gorgeous hat!
And like Michaelson said, good use of you're "waiting" time during your Indiana Jones and the Stall of Patience moment.
Also, on these SoC shots: GREAT stuff.
I always love seeing your low-angle 3/4 hat shots (like that 1st SoC photo and the second-to-last one) ... it's a pleasure to see these.
Cheers,
Mitch

Hi Gorak! Yeah, those are some cool shots! Your hats look so right. Is that the Allessandria you turned 90 degrees, before I ever turned a hat? How much is the AB turned? Love the SA dust spots on the Alice!

Thank you so very much, sir Bucks....you are definitely an icon to me when it comes to the fedora. You have been the most innovative and experimental of us all and I have always followed your post enthusiatically.
I am very touched you remember and, yes, that is my old Alice and both hats are turned completely sideways. That is the only way my wide head can get the swoop. Great to see you around.......
