Well, the shape looks great! You'll probably knock the door down once you see a sunny day just trying to get outside with the hat and camera. ;)

Hi Fedora lovers,

Say, all you fellas have awesome lookin' Fedoras and you all look great wearing them! ... well, they are Penman's,
how else could it be? ;)

As for me, I own a few Penman's and I love them all. and, here's my new addition, a very special one that John just finished this
week. it's a one of a kind Penman and I am very proud of it. I think it's awesome... now, I would like to send you picture of me wearing it,
(not that nobody needs to see my mug, really, hehe...) but John sent it just this AM. anyways, here's 2 pictures of it. as you will see, it's Not a
Raiders or another of John's hat catalogue, it's a Casablanca Boggy Beaver felt Pecan color.

I have another one ordered to be made and it's gonna be a Granite color. so, as soon as I receive it, I will send a picture of
this beauty sitting on my dome! Now, I have to say what has probably been said more than often: not only the man produces fantastic high
quality hats, but also, what a guy he is! I'm very glad he one day decided to make hats! :)

John, Merci a lot, Man! :D

Frenchie

Wow! I've always loved Bogie's hat in Casablanca. It is my favorite of his film hats. Second is his hat in the Maltese Falcon. Excellent work John! And congratualtions on the new hat Frenchie. Wear it in good health.

Hi DR Ulloa,

Thanks for your comments. and, you are right, the other hat in the Maltese Falcon is a great one and also my second
fave of Boggy's hats films. say, you are a man of tastes and a connaisseur, DR Ulloa! ;) oh yes, it is another of John's Fedora that
I will proudly wear for sure!

Wonder if John will consider the Maltese Falcon model in the future? who knows? but it would be another great addition for sure... :)

Hey DanielJones,

Happy to meet another friend on this great forum. and as for DR Ulloa, thanks for your comments, appreciated! :)

Oh yeah, it's indeed a fantastic hat. all the credits to the artist, and, hehehe... Man, how elegant this hat would look
wearing a nice suit! and, it's true, bad or good weather, it can take it! specially here, on the West coast, we need them
like that! :D

How about you, gentlemen, you own many Penman's? many different colors and styles to fit occasions and needs?!

Just curious! :P

Hi steerpike,

Yep, many of the Penman's Fedora are great for formal and adventures at the same time, for sure. CS and Last crusade are great
hats for everyday hat as well! :TOH: the Last crusade is one of them Penman's that I am thinking of adding to my hat closet next but
I am thinking in another color than brown.

Thus far I only have the one Penman, but that isn't going to be the last. Sort of like Lays potato chips, you can't have just one. Something John puts in the felt makes his hats rather addictive. :[ ;)

Yeah, I have a few Penman hats. I have one Raiders hat from '08, a black one John made for my wedding in '09, a charcoal grey with vintage iron ribbon also from '09, and a steel grey one that was a gift that has some really stunning bow work that I have ever seen. I want a pecan one next. Hopefully I'll be able to get one this year. I've been spending most of my extra cash on guitars and amps lately so I just have make a conscious decision to set aside funds for a hat. I haven't fine away John, just busy with not too much cash to throw your way. I'll be back soon. I know you miss my shenanigans.

Haha, DanielJones, binkmeisterRick's question is a good one following your theory!

There is something addictive all right! in my case, it's probably that it makes me look better without a facelift! ;) and
it's a lot cheaper!! so, yeah, I am sure that it is not going to be your last one, I believe that! like me, i cannot stop
ordering them. (well, as long as I have funds..) but, it's also because I have a plan in mind. I am buying as much as I can
NOW, so, IF one day I am poor, well, I will have all the Penman's I need until my old age without worrying! :D

So, if John was wondering why this crazy French Canuck was suddenly ordering so many Fedora's lately, now he
knows!

Wow, say, DR Ulloa, you own a few already, that's pretty cool! I understand that you want a Pecan next! isn't that
color awesome? it's so suave and elegant. ah, man...

John, you hate your shots?! maybe I should have wait to take my own shots after I have received my Boggy, then! ;)

I reckon you'll want your LC back, even though you'll have a Raiders as well......I recently sold my Raiders lid to a local guy, but then when I saw him wearing it I coveted the precious hat and asked him to sell it me back.....Which he did......Which was nice.....

It's mine. Don't get me wrong, I love my Indy AB, but my Penman Raiders hat IS MY INDY HAT. She is good ol' reliable. Never wanted another Indy lid after her. Lids in general...thats a different story. I'm itching for a black cherry Penman...uh oh. I've said too much. John knows I want another hat now. Quick, act casual. :-
