CS whip

Post by BendingOak »

Hi, guys and dolls.

I wanted to share with everyone my new whip from www.midlandwhips.com

Before I get the ;0 icon here is a photo to hold you guys and dolls over until Brain gets bak and takes some more photos for me.

Image

I asked mr. Roberts to make me a CS style 10 foot kangaroo hide whip that looked like what it did in the movie but I didn't want the big heavy monster that it was in the movie. I like the weight of Morgans whip and he delivered big time. Im very happy with it and had fun cracking it on the weekends. I thought i might have a little bit of a hard time adjust from a 8 footer but I really didn't. His craftmenship is beyond his years making whips. I highly recommend www.midlandwhips.com

The whip looks great! That's interesting how it is actually lighter like the Morgan style. Great job Graeme! :)

It's not that light. Photos can play tricks.

Whip looks great, John! Nice review! Sorry I didn't have my Midland whips whip with me when we visited! But, as you can see Graeme doesn't disappoint! Only having one kip hide whip from Graeme, I would sure love to see what his 'roo hide whips can do!

Congratulations!

Awesome whip John, can't wait for more photos.

Is the thong of the whip the same diameter as a Jacka?
(Just wondering what Graeme did to keep the weight down).

It's smaller than the jacka. Jacka is a monster.

Ah, I see. I misunderstood and thought it was the same weight of the Morgan style. Can't wait to see more pics. :)

Daren, I'd like to know how good his roo whips are too!

It is closer to the Morgan weight and balance but it's not a light whip. It's just not the beast like the jacka.

I've not been here long and I came initially for a lid...... so I bought 6. ....Then came the jackets....own 3, got 1 on order.......Now, I've just seen a fantastic looking whip made by a local boy and I can't get it out of my head... I've never even handled a whip before.. #-o (Time to search the sofa for money and inedible cheeseballs)

Great picture and great whip! Congratulations on your purchase. Indeed Graeme´s years belie his plaiting skills. :o
Cheers!

Thank you my friend. There is one bad things about this whip. I like cracking it much more than my other two whips which are 8 footers. no more 8 footers for me. Next will be a Raiders ten footer.

Very nice whip!!

Mr. Roberts is on my list of whipmakers from whom I would like to eventually acquire a whip from, and I always enjoy seeing his work, too :H:

What does a whip like that run John? What a beautiful coloring! That's got to be one of my favorites I've seen.
