Terry Jacka Delongis 8ft

Post by Indiana County Jr. »

Hi everyone,
After just a short 5 weeks, my whip is here. I choose to just do a plain tan and I cannot believe how well the color turned out. Terry is the MAN!!

Here are a couple of pics:

Wow, that's awesome Xmas gift. Any chances to see video? How much does it weigh? Where is the balance point?

Gorgeous whip, Allen!

Congrats!

Eventhough I'm not that much into Australian bullwhips, Terry's work is changing my mind. :TOH:

Thanks Tomek,
Unfortunately the video will have to wait, right now it in the 30's here (burrrr...) Regarding the weight, it is very light, about the same as my Joe Strain 10ft. The balance point on Terry's whips are just past the knot, meaning instead of the weight being in the handle, they are more towards the "center" if you will.

Thanks guys for all the great complements! I have waited a long time for one of these, and feel very lucky for the stars to line up for the opportunity.

Nice whip!

Do they still offer a discount for COW members? I seem to recall they used to. I've been meaning to pick up a new whip, and this is pretty much exactly the one I want myself!

Hi Danny,
Thank you! :TOH: As far as I know, the discount only applied to the Indy IV whips. I paid the normal price for this one including air mail. I can't recommend his work enough, he always does a great job on the whips I have of his!

Thank you! :TOH:

Apparently, there is not much of a following for this type of whip. They are definitely different in handling than the norm. But sooooooo worth it.

Order you one, I promise you will be pleased! :whip:

I spent a day at the Delongis ranch a couple years ago, receiving instruction from Tony, using his whips. I loved the way they felt, and have been eager to get one of my own ever since. (Before that I just used my David Morgan.) He made me a believer!

Problem is, here in the L.A. suburbs I don't have a lot of space in which to practice...

All my stuff is on a manny at the moment- just left the 501st and sold my Stormtrooper....Should pick the whip up....Cracked it a few times at Xmas for some visiting kids, it's a perfectly blanced thing of beauty.

Oh and my neighbours HATE IT
