US Wings: "Legend" US antique cow - sizing question

Post by bobcatmvp1 »

I have a question about the US Wings Legend Antique cow USA made jacket. How will it fit? I like a little bit snugger jacket. I'm 6'2" and around 185lbs. I ordered a large long. Does that sound right? Will it be too big? What do you all think?

Thanks in advance,
Billy

Sounds to me like you will be just fine. I'm 6' 175lbs, and a Large reg. fits me perfectly. I don't think it will be too big, and if you want a snug fit, that Large Long should be just right.

I suppose the US Made legend cow will be the best in terms of snug fit. It looks like that from the pics on the USW site. The imported cow, although same pattern, looks like a little wider in the upper arm area and overall fit. Maybe it's just me, but I was a bit bothered by the rather quite large armhole and upper arm area in my hero jacket. #-o Obviously there's a difference between the two, but all the same, the pics Weston posted in his albums of the import Legend still seem to have that large armhole. ](*,)

Oh, yea, in an email recently, Sarge did pointed out that the difference:
The USA has a trimmer cut.. The reason is That Roz Schott used The Neil
Cooper Pattern 100 % and the import is by numbers.. Same pattern but numbers
only.. Roz had the Pattern in front of her!! Is the USA made jacket a better
jacket.. Good question.. If you want a 100 % SA jacket then the answer is
yes.
Regards,
Sarge

Thanks Weston. So it fits you pretty snug being 175 lbs? Since I'm only 2 inches taller than you it makes me wonder if I should have got the long? How much longer is a long, 1 inch?

It wouldn't matter because I don't think Yoda wears leather - I believe he is a vegan. His belts are hemp and pleather!
