Beautiful Indy Boot

Post by lantzn »

Wow I really love the looks of this boot! It's a lot like the one that the Alden shoe store in Hawaii was carrying. I really think the waffle lug sole is great for our wet northwest weather.

Has anyone here bought this version?

I wish it had the white moc toe stitching, then I would love it too.

I LOVE THIS BOOT!!!! PERFECTION! to me it really captures the "essence of indy" better than his boots do-which i was never very fond of in the first place.

I got hooked on this look over a year ago when I saw something similar here.

They look so natural and the lug sole is the clincher for me. They were asking $450 back then.

I've never owned any style of Indy boot and my wife just told me I could have a pair for our anniversary. I have very high insteps (see light under my feet on a hard surface) and wear a 8-1/2 EEE. It's hard to find shoes that fit and I've always had to buy larger sizes to get the width, then my short toes end up with way to much room. I finally bought some men's dress shoes in the correct size and they are so comfortable. It's nice these Aldens are made so well.

The "Vintage" Indy from LeatherSoul I posted has a lighter toe stitching, I don't know if you'd consider that white.

Jeez, it's like your feet are as wide as they are long! ;)

No doubt and I'm 6'1" 210 with these short wide feet. I have short even toes so my feet look like bricks. As I said shoes rarely fit me right. I'm 51 this month so it's time to treat myself to some nice boots.

I bought the Vintage Ultimate Indy Boots from Leather Sole Hawaii about a year ago. They are my favorite Aldens! I love the color and feel! The leather is almost suede-like and has very "antique" look to it right out-of-the-box. The special lug outer sole also gives it a little more traction on slippery surfaces compared to regular Aldens. Great shoe!

The leather on the Vintage Indy is beautiful. I'm not a fan of the 360 welt, but LSH has many great boot offerings.

Well, LSH was out of my size in the Ultimate Indy, so I had to pop for these Tobacco Chamois boots. I needed a lug sole, and don't care for the all-around welt, so these fit the bill. They're awesome! Remind me of the Crystal Skull boot a lot--except of course for the sole and not having the orthopedic heel.

You're right lantzn.
As an old cowboy friend of mine once said ...
"Life's too short not to have a good hat and a good pair of boots."

And I believe him.

So enjoy, and know that the best half of you life is yet to come.

Cheers.
