My 10 ft Nick Lang / pagey Raiders

Post by MaXer »

During my search for a Raiders whip I've been around everyone from JRZjoe to Todd's to Morgan. After asking around, I was recommended to ask Nick Lang whether he was up for making just one more whip. At the time, he wasn't but he was willing to part with one from his private collection that he copied off his '92 Morgan. I almost didn't want to take it from him, but on the other hand it seemed too good to pass up. So I didn't. And I'm so glad I didn't! :D

Apparently I stirred up some long forgotten Indy whip feeling, because after I got his whip, he decided to make just one more. :)
Now I want that one too. ;D

Congratulations! It sounds like you lucked out and possibly reignited Mr. Lang's interest in whipmaking :H:

Thanks guys. Yeah, I was lucky he was willing to part with it.

One can only hope he returns to making Indy whips. It didn't sound like it last I talked to him, though.

I love the whip! It has all of the qualities of a great looking Indy whip. Great purchase. :TOH:

Glad to hear you are enjoying the whip Max! Incidently here are a couple of pics of my old '92 Morgan on which it was based. The Morgan is on the left, Erri's Giovanni whip in the middle, and an early 8ft of my own with a very tapered handleon the right

Argh, I thought you were called pagey in here too...! Sorry.

They all look very good! I wouldn't trade either with mine, though. :TOH:
Your last whip did look extremely good though. Almost jealous. =P~
