My Delcarpio Raiders & Celeste Dog Leash

Post by indianaandrews »

Hi to all

I thought it was finally about time for me to share some images of my Delcarpio Raiders 10ft whip. I have to admit I am a total whip novice, but Bernardo stepped in and guided me in my selection. He offered great advice and was a real gent to deal with. It is so nice to have formed another friendship with a great craftsman from this wonderful community. Bernardo actually suggested the shorter 8 footer as a beginner’s whip, but I also wanted the best screen accurate whip for my money, so I ended up going for the 10 footer. No doubt it will cost me in lashes across the back of legs, but hey no pain no gain as they say.

As anyone who is fortunate enough to own one of Bernardo’s whips will testify the quality is second to none. It really is beautiful to hold and a joy to use. I am yet to have chance to put in proper practice, but I will be honing my skills with this awesome whip.

Around the same time I took delivery of a special gift for my dear dog Sasha. I contacted Giovanni Celeste, from whom I had purchased a great whip key fob, and asked him whether he could make me a dog leash. Gio stepped up to the plate and created a great looking 6 foot leash styled to look like Indy’s whip. It’s perfect to walk Sasha with and to hang from my belt, moreover it is perfectly legal to walk around with!

Also shown is my Wade Egan S&W replica all painted up. This really is an incredible replica, great clean cast and easy to finish and paint too.

Hope you like 'em.

Very best

Actually, I think the leash would do more damage compared to the real whip with it's lock (or whatever that's called... the attachment to clamp to the dog's leash). Hehehe... :whip:

Thanks guys as always your kind comments are much appreciated.

I love Bernardo’s whip it is simply beautiful. What an artist!

The dog leash is a great way to enjoy carrying a "whip" in public without being arrested :D

I shall be ordering a CS darker whip from Giovanni at some point next year for my black labrador Ollie. He needs to learn to stop pulling before I buy him one of these though. He’s only a baby though.

Best

Both are great looking. I especially like the leash by Gio, I haven't seen anything like that before.

Dear Mark and dear Guys,
thanks for your kind words about my work
I'm very glad that you like the dog leash!!
how is Sasha? I'm just curious what people think when you walk your Sasha on a "leash - whip"
My compliments for your whip for another Bernardo's masterpiece.
All the best
