Very nice!!
Don't see too many 12 footers.
Did you extend the binding out on that one?

Thanks for the compliments guys Just normal binding in this one. I always make the nylon whips very stiff.

I can kinda do it, but nowhere as nice as most of you can. I also have a problem with keeping it on the whip... Hahaha! For some reason, it won't stay on the butt.Nexus6 wrote:Did you see THIS? (specifically last sentence, first paragraph)fenris wrote:... I can't even perfect a turk's head knot.

What do you use for turkshead base?fenris wrote:I also have a problem with keeping it on the whip...
BTW, great whip Graeme! I'm looking forward to see more of your beauties!
Re: 16 plait nylon Indy 12ft
Before I just used electrical tape. I'm toying with the idea of using some epoxy putty (the same one I used to sculpt my staff of ra headpiece) as the base and shaping it into a nice round shape.
I used that on my 3.5' whip, but as the butt itself, no turks head knot... painted it a mahogany color to match the dark brown color of the whip. It actually looks like wood when I was done.
