COW Discount Still With US Wings?

Post by Indyzane »

](*,) So my question is....... Are we still going to get $100.00 off ANY LEGEND jackets? USA made or Imported? :-k

Updated..... 10/4/10 email from Sarge via "Cow Member Ian"

Sent: Monday, October 04, 2010 9:22 AM
To: 'U.S. Wings'
Subject: RE: COW members Wings Cooper offer

Hello Ian,

US Wings is not a member of COW thanks to some of the past insults posted on COW .. I see no need in extending our hand of friendship with the insults received.

I will however honor any and all names and orders that were placed on our File for the upcoming Jackets in question and the cutoff date was Oct. 1,2010. After that date and going forward there will not be any future discounts to COW members and any and all sales will be the same as any customer that we receive worldwide without the insults.

Nothing personal.. Just business. The only way I will change this Policy is if I receive a Personal E-Mail from each and every person that has posted an Insult on COW and Ian I have the list. Some people don’t understand what you say today will be heard tomorrow and every day thereafter! People must be accountable for their actions.

Regards,

Sarge

good question. No one has contacted me regarding the list I signed up for. I wonder if others have the same experience.

I've had nothing from USWings as of yet.
Put this down to the fact I'm on the list for calf, and thats not being offered yet.
Bit worried about the price of the jacket now as the prices higher than when I went on the list.

I highly doubt it. And the prices are only higher for the USA made. The imported are still $295 for regular, $315 for long.

Well I haven’t be contacted yet as well. I’m not real worried though, I know when the jackets are finished they’ll be calling. :whip:

You know, instead of speculating, someone could call or e-mail US Wings and ask them directly. ;)

Now where's the sport in that?

I'm just patiently waiting. Besides, I spent all my money on A2s.

I was actually getting tired of back and forth email, so I called them.

I said I was interested in the cowhide jacket (with leather facings and a right handed zipper, just like is offered on the site) and asked if they were still honoring the preorder price. Myke said they were still honoring the originally advertised price if you're on the list. I asked if we'd get the US made jackets for that price, or the imported ones. He said he thought it'd be the US made, but he'd check and get back to me. He hasn't yet.

I could do, but I'm a little weird about posting someones email to me without getting their permission first. I'll ask Sarge if it's okay.

I only ask as it would come from the horse's mouth, so to speak, and folks could see it as an official piece of information instead of something handed down second or third hand. There's been so much batted back and forth between people, the only way to keep facts straight is if we can see it from the source. That's why we recommend contacting Wings directly with any questions. :TOH:

I completely understand, but if someone sends me an email, I see it as a private thing between me and the sender. I just think that making a private email public without permission from the sender first is just bad form.

Anyways, Sarge just emailed and said it was okay to post;

Not sure. Pretty confusing, as he left due to the confusion over the zipper conversation, not due to 'insults'. How to figure out who's on this list is a very good question, since he's the only who has it?! :-k

He also requested his account be reactivated over 2 weeks ago, which it was and still is...so he IS still a member of COW, so I'm not sure what's going on now.

Your guess is as good as ours. This just gets more interesting as time passes. :?

Thanks for the info Ian.

Going to e-mail us wings later as I'm still a little confused(normal state of being according to wife  ).

The original $100 discount was from a "Cooper" pattern jacket @ $395.
So we would get a jacket for $295.

Currently on the Wings website we have the "Legend" pattern jacket @ $295 imported and $495 US made.

Going to ask what the discount is on. Do we get a(US made) jacket at the $295 COW price or $100 off the advertised prices.

ID, unless you were on the list prior to October 1st, there ARE no discounts on anything anymore from Wings:

To back up what Michaelson said, after having stormed off the site over "zipper-gate", Sarge wanted back in so, as we have from time to time (unless a member was banned by staff decision), we reopened his account. Myke from US Wings has also registered. Having been cc'd on countless emails from Sarge, I'm not sure where these "insults" stem from, and don't know where Wings is getting their information, since Sarge hasn't been back to the site since reactivation, and Myke has also yet to visit since joining. My guess is they're being fed information from members who started another site after being banned here…ironically being banned for direct conduct in the US Wings fiasco.

But that is just a guess. I also surmise there may be a bit of deflection going on over the zipper issue.

Personally, I wish the drama would go away and let the product speak for itself. I was highly impressed with Weston's latest photos.

Yep....and both 'sides' said that verbatim to each other over two weeks when Sgt. asked to be reinstated to the site, and it was agreed to by both Wings AND the COW administration. As Mike the webmaster said both here and there at the time, 'let it all drop and let the product speak for itself'. :?

Unfortunately this 'COW insult list' information just came out of the woodwork this morning, so you're talking to the wrong folks in that regard, zane. ;)

I must admit, I only read 'Wings' related posts now out of a sort of morbid curiosity; it's fascinating to see just what ridiculous turn they'll take next...
Guess I'll be on 'the list' now, if I wasn't already? :)

Ok wait a minute. I'm not picking on anyone here at COW or Sarge. I'm just saying let's keep this a positive thread and not bash anyone. Let's keep what happen in the past in the past. No need to make this a who said who contest.

I'm sorry if I offend anyone here at COW or Sarge with my comment. :[ It was not my intention at all. I'm a happy positive person and I intend to keep it that way. Thanks all, sorry again for the confusion.

That's the problem, Zane... we've TRIED to keep things positive.

Ian answered your original question by posting his reply from Wings, which you then reposted in your own opening post starting this thread.

Since you now have your answer, do you want this thread locked?

Okay so be it!!
As most COW members are aware Michaelson and I are very close Friends and Yes we do talk one on one.. For the record I am proud to be a member of COW and fully understand why some people are disapointed with why we do what we do some time in busines but I as the owner of a very large company have to look at the total picture and what is best for all my employees that count on me in these very hard times.. Yes We will contune giving discounts to COW members because we trully love and honer the Fans.. I have always said there is a little Indy in all of us and that I mean.... One can never put some one down to put yourself up.. Hate does not make you strong.. I know because I have been there.
We will honer the Collectors price as long as the Cows come home.. For those of you down south you understand what I mean.. Forever!

The Indy Hero $ 195.00 is a killer price and that will stay.. Now the Raiders Legend.. Now put this in Blood!! $ 100.00 discount for COW members.. Import retail or USA Retail.. Meanining what is posted online take $ 100.00 off that price! I think that is a fare price Now for COW members off shore meaning out side the USA... If they are a COW member in good standing with Mike... and Michaelson they will receive a 50 % discount on shipping. We want our brothers all over the world to enjoy the hoppy.
Now for the rest of this Book.. Two years ago I made the Officially Licensed Indiana Jones Crystal Skull Jacket for MDI and four State Prize Point Lottory after they were making some knock off made in China jacket.. Michaelson called me and I called Lucas!!! The Jackets were the US Wings Collectors Indy Jacket... I was ask not to talk about it and I did keep my word.. We will start making that Jacket again along with our Hero Indy.. MDI still has the Official License and US Wings Inc. still makes the Indy Jackets for MDI.. US Wings Most likely will be awarded the Official License for the Raiders Legend.. If Not we stll will make the Official Licensed Indiana Jones Jackets for MDI and State Lottory Prize Points.. US Wings is not a small Business But never too Big not to help our Friends at COW.
If I have not answered all of your questions.. Please e-mail me.
BTW I am coming out with a Kids Raiders Jacket and for COW memvers only $ 75.00. sale ends 23 Dec. 2010...

Sarge
