My works!

Post by lelec2 »

Hi guy's
I'm Emanuele from Italy,
I presented my whip collection 2 months ago. Besides being a collector, i'm also aspirant whipmaker. Little over a year I started making leather whip using low quality.
Many of the lessons I need them to Giovanni Celeste, was always helpful and patient and I learned a lot from him.
Up to now I have little practice because, unfortunately, time is short.
However I would attach some pictures of my recent work and significant.
The whips are made from calf skin, let the kangaroo when I gained more practical as it is very expensive and I would not waste it.
If anyone has any advice for me I gladly accept.
I hope you like. :whip:

I've never used calfskin, but I guess it's not easy leather to work with....... and it seems you've done a good work with it!
You're ready to try kangaroo hide, don't worry about it. give it a try. Anyway sooner or later you'll have to deal with roo hides.
You won't regret it believe me!

Thanks to everyone for the compliments. I'll come with kangaroo whip.
However I then decided to enjoy the world of nylon whips.
Will be doing a couple of whips in a kangaroo and then put a bit of time by the skin, to devote myself to nylon whip.

Yes, this is possible with automatic online translator, but translates very literally, and not always the truth meaning of the sentence, but in many circumstances it is useful :)

I never tried to make cracking it, now unfortunately most do not possess
I'll make another soon, but I do not know when, it takes 3-4 hours for a mini bullwhip.
Good point, it is a good subject for those who want to have a whip with him :)

i kind of like these wristband!there pretty cool!you can do them in nylon too...and so no problem if they come wet...
but that's very nice and i think even in switzerland where whips and whipcracking is not common thing i think they would sell them good,on market for example!

Very cool!
The one with the clasp on it looks great.

The TH knot on the Crystal Skull keychain whip amazes me. How did you get it so neat?
I had cussing fits while trying to make a TH knot twice (if not 3 times) that size when I made my wifes "purse whip". And it still didn't come out as nicely as yours!! :notworthy:

Thank you all for your appreciation!

Kwade: These micro whips sometimes require several hours, patience and precision.
I only using kangaroo leather, thin. As for the nodes, it is not simple, although not always clear to me :D However for what I know, the leather for bags is not very suitable for making these types of knots and plaits, because they are soft and make the plot so wrinkled and soft.

Fenris: As a child I too was a nylon key ring and leather bracelets. I must say that for me it was useful, I aquisito much, and thanks to that now I have quickly learned to weave.

My friend Giovanni Celeste has done leash dog whip, and I think he can do for you in a short time.
I do whips resume in April, because now I'm busy.
