"Fat Boy" Jackets
Based on some discussions in other posts, I would like to get a discussion going regarding sizing of Indy jackets for our portly fans. I'm 6'2" 260 lbs and am really struggling with sizing. I would be most appreciative if you could post your height and weight and jacket type and size so maybe us bigger guys could get some good reference material. Pics would be a plus. Thanks.

Re: "Fat Boy" Jackets
Honestly, let's not call them 'fat boy'. Let's call them 'big men's sizing'.
If you're looking at 'OTR', then standard Wings sizing will work for you.
In my case, I'm a shade under 6 feet 2, and weigh around 230 or so. I wear a size 44R/T (depending on maker) or a Large in the Wings sizing.
The 'hero' pattern is a bit trimmer than the Wings regular fare, so I'd suggest you give them a call and discuss your sizing issue if you go with them. Their regular Indy jacket sizing is a lot more generous in those 'hard to fit mid sections' many of us have, and are much more comfortable for big men such as yourself.
Otherwise, as has been mentioned elsewhere, you're looking at a custom fit, and that's a whole different category. Your choices there will be Wested, Magnoli, or Nowak, and the prices can be higher, depending who you go with.

I'll just say I'm a similar build, and I've found my G&B Expedition quite flattering (it's finally cool enough today that I'm even wearing it now). Here's the most recent picture with me wearing it, taken in late April/early May:
And here's my review (with more pictures and links) from when I got it:

Your jacket has always been a great example of how nice the Expeditions can look on a fellow, Luke!

Same as my suit jacket size: 48R. If you know your suit jacket size, I recommend the same if ordering an Expedition.feathers73 wrote:So Nebraska Schulte, what size is your expedition?

I'll second what Michaelson said. US Wings jackets are cut very generously.
