Azuma's TOD shirt

Post by Indiana Croft »

Well it's here, only thing is I wont get to pic's till after it's washed by first glance is this is awsome, thanks so much.
When I ordered this I also snagged another LC for back stock (so to speak). Material looks the same which probably is, buttons are a different color, the only way I can tell them apart ;) . Thanks Azuma for producing this, gonna go and wash it so I can try to get some pics today before I go to work. If not I'll post in the AM tommorrow.

Hay, I got one question, what is the difference between the LC and the TOD other than button shade, is there any specific difference. :-k

I'm also curious what the distinctions would be. It is almost impossible to make comparisons off of the films alone, since Indy never takes his jacket off in LC unless he is wearing another jacket. The shirt is always covered.

Ok, this was done quick like as I need to rest for a bit, but I couldn't wait to show it off. Heck the shirt hung out to dry and was still damp.

Size is a Med with a little tweak to the back panel, because this was such a small run, Azuma was able to add another half inch to the shoulders. My LC Med. fit just a tad snug when ever I bent my shoulders foward like to tie my shoes.
My chest measure 40" (circumfrance) I think thats waht your asking Chewie, alway wanted to call someone that, thanks.

This shirt fits very nicely, tommorrow, hopefully I'll gear up some for a better montage of shots.

That's what I needed, thanks.

Bummer. Our body shape is similar but I'm much bigger. I was hoping that the size guide on Azuma's site was wrong. But alas... it appears pretty accurate. I love that shirt.

Here's Azuma's great chart on the shirt differences. Although he never takes his jacket off in LC, he does in the behind the scenes video.

I believe he's also made improvements to the overall pattern.

Thank you guys. I like this TOD run as well. Aside from new buttons, There are actually two minor improvements:

1. Pocket flaps are slightly shorter by few minimeters than the ones from previous batches of LC shirts. This is a very small change, but really makes a difference.

2. After more studying, measuring, and comparing with different photos and video clips from TOD and LC, I concluded that the collar should be 3" wide which is slightly narrower than our previous spec.

I think these changes really make the shirt look better. BTW, the main difference between LC & TOD shirts is the placement of epaulette. Thank you guys.

Best regards,
Azuma

Thats the chart I was looking for, thanks. So it's just the epaullets huh, well I'm gonna have to sew or mark these shirts LC & TOD so I can tell them apart in the AM, no glasses and they all look the same.
And I'll get some more shots today, or I'll try. It'll be my Indiana Croft persona.......this hobby will make you insane =P~

Sorry knibs7 for beating you to the pic, now go wash that shirt in cold water and hang to dry, the wrinkles are to die for ;)

I'm glad I have multiples of both!!! They are truly the next best thing to my NH shirts. The only difference that I can see, is the name.

The material seems to be spot on to me (I was caught in a rain storm last night with my new TOD shirt on and I got soaked. My first thought [about my shirt being wet] was, "Hey this looks just like Indy's shirt after it gets soaked when he is running away from the, water out of the tunnel in TOD."

All that to say that the material is spot on. Once again, great job Azuma!! :TOH:

I've asked the same question, he said since so many have made it, he didn't want to step on any toes.
I say, don't step on any toes...... stomp on em. Really, if he can get the right shade, SOC look maybe, he'd have about as much buisnes as his LC, maybe more. If he can make the same size as my TOD, I know I'd buy two, wished I'd have the for site to order two TOD. Well I have two LC, that'll ahve to do.

Azuma, your work is spot on, your price is spot on, you are spot on. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Well the misses and myself went out on the fourth and had some fun taking pics. You'll see the same ones in the link (if it works :anxious: ) but I also just wanted to show one shot in this thread. It's my new TOD w/my AB rabbit. You'll also see a comparison shot of my collection, just to see the different shades. (from left to right, both in doors and out doors, all shirts in same line up, I also put in my two pairs of Wested tofor fun) Azuma TOD, NH, WPG, Wested, AB, TODD, Azuma LC, MAGNOLI.

Really nice shirt. The same quality as the LC shirt. I put it only second to the NH shirts. These Azuma's don't need to be altered. They're great right out of the bag.... (aside from the wrinkles from the nice folding job). I can't believe more people on COW don't have these.
I think Azuma should still do a Raiders and a CS. I'm in for both.

Hello my friends,

Thank you all for your positive comments on our LC and TOD shirts. We actually did two prototype Raiders shirts not long ago, and one of the shirts is currently in Jake's hand now. I believe that Jake would be willing to share his thought on our Raiders shirt. In fact, he actually provided a fabric for making one of the prototypes.

I am not sure if I am allowed to post the following information regarding our future plan for Indy shirts here, so if the content is not appropriate for this section, please let me know.

We do not have plan to make Raiders shirt currently, but we will indeed make it available when the timing is right. As for the custom-made option we mentioned earlier, it's been discussed with the studio. While making just one shirt is absolutely not economical to them, we came up with something else. Following is our plan for Azuma's Indy shirts in the near future:

Every quarterly or semi-annually, we will conduct runs for Indy shirt pre-ordering, and as long as we receive 10 orders from each run, then the production is good to go. And we will revise and make new patterns for more SA, and more size options. We may accept some size altering by request with additional cost. For example, if you want to pre-order a size L shirt, but you expect to have shorter sleeves on it, we can do it for you by request, however, there will be an additional cost for the altering. I assume this is sort of a custom-made option. In addition, each run will only do one type of Indy shirt only (meaning either LC, or TOD, or RLA), so that the tailors at the studio will not screwed up.

I think this plan will satisfy many of COW members, who was not able to get our previous shirts due to lack of size options. Anyway, I will post the updates as soon as the project is ready! Thank again for your comments. :TOH:

Cheers,

Thanks Tundrarider, my lovely Misses took the pics that 4th of July day and she's such a great sport about it, just loves doing these things, as long as were doing things together, she don't care what it is. We've been on many an adventure together.

But back to the topic of Mr. Azuma doing more shirts.
Oh goody, goody. \:D/ \:D/ \:D/
I might just pick up another TOD and two Raiders.
Start putting those penny's together.
