Say, looking good! I am getting to like the LC style jackets more and more as time goes by. Will probably end up getting myself a new Wested within a year or so, and it will be an LC.

I've been visiting leather merchants over here, this is a lightweight antique cow that I found, has a reasonable drape and a nice finish.

1) Dunno, it's my size! (probably about 3")

2) A few! I got teased a little at the RMS, I brought 3 whips and 4 jackets, 4 holsters and 2 hats (plus various other stuff) to show. LOL

Totally different to novapelle, thinner and it doesn't have the silky nap that the NP has.

I like both, but being as this is the new girl, well you know...

KT, did Peter way whether that new cowhide is going to be one of his offered hides? How does it compare to his "pre-distressed cowhide" that predated his novapelle? You know which one I'm talking about. Yours looks darker.

Thanks guys, I'm wearing this one a lot at the moment.

St.D. I bought this leather from one of the merchants I visited. It's not actually that dark, when untreated it has a unglazed look to start with, once you wet it and dry it it goes kinda glossy and TC then knocked that back.

It's actually pretty close to Peter's current pre-d he showed some to me as I was picking up this jacket and my immediate response was: "Oh, I hadn't needed to buy this 'specially!"

.

Mine may be slightly thinner than his normal pre-d, but I've not put them side by side.

It's important to note that whilst the cut and pocket shapes etc are all Wested, a very big part of how the finish looks on this jacket is from hard work.

Yes, but only slightly, it's 1.75".

I thought the standard on the LC/CS was 1.5" wide unless you asked for a wider one. Maybe someone with a standard LC/CS without a special ordered stormflap can chime in?

Dude, I keep coming back to your pics...great looking jacket but even greater looking you...you look really confident and comfortable in you gear so likewise you look like a natural in it! And that is very difficult for some of us to due but very essential to carrying off the look..and you absolutely did it! Keep on trucking in your gear
