Check out this "Traveler" hat

Post by jlee562 »

Somebody posted a link to Black Sheep Hat works on The Fedora Lounge, and among the models they offer, they have a "Traveler" fedora, which comes in a handsome granite grey and a 2 3/4" by 2 5/8" dimensional cut brim. A bit lower than a standard Indy hat, but I'm prone to thinking that it was at the least inspired by the hat of our favorite adventurer.

I think the crown may just appear lower due to the wider ribbon, but I'm certainly no expert.

Well, the specs on the site indicate that it has a 5 1/4" crown, whereas the Indy IV hat was 5 3/4". Although with the pictures, I'm not sure that it's a full half in shorter...then again, I'm certainly no expert in "eyeballing" specs.

Looks like it could be a 50 mm ribbon as opposed to the 39 mm we are accustomed to seeing on our tried and tested, Indy styled fedoras. ;)
