Anybody heard from Graeme lately?

Post by kwad »

Hi Guys,

I ordered and paid for a whip from Graeme (Midland Whips) back in March and received an estimated shipping date of April 30th.

I PM'd him on the 30th, to which he responded to let me know he was a few weeks behind on orders.
That was the last I heard from him.

I've tried sending a PM (which appears to have been read the last time he logged in) and emailed him at both addresses listed on his site. Still no response. :-k
I'm starting to get a little worried........

I know there are a few others on the board waiting on orders. Has anybody heard from him lately?

I sent him an email a couple months back, and haven't had a response. I know someone else on another forum waiting on a whip from him too. I wonder what's going on?

So far I have been contacted by two other members (who wish to remain anonymous) who have had the same problem as myself.

I am a patient person and don't mind waiting for things. However, I do have my limits and lack of communication is one of them.

I wrote him an email few days ago, but also got no reply. I hope he's fine, just busy with orders.

I have not been able to reach him for 3 months now.
He must be VERY busy to not be able to respond to a 3 month old email.

Is there no contact phone number at which to reach him? If there is....you could try phoning him-leave a message if no one answers...then you've covered that base as well!

Just a thought! I'm not personally familiar with this vendor, so that's about the most I can offer in the way of "help."

Regards!

Thanks Dawg,

There is a phone-number to try yet. I'm just afraid that with my long-distance carrier, the price of the international phone call may be more than the price of buying a whip from someone else. :-s
I'd like to exhaust all my free avenues of communication before this costs me any more money.

However, it looks like it is time to pick up the phone......

Understood.....and if you don't have a good cell carrier with international service included (I believe the iPhone includes international service....), then yeah...unless there's a toll-free number to call, it can get expensive. I remember phone bills in excess of 100.00 just in calls to England alone when I was trying to get my "perfect" Last Crusade jacket from Peter ten years ago.

Best of luck with it!
Regards!

Try Skype. It's a fairly cheap subscription (I believe you can order time in $10 increments-- or at least you used to be able to) and the calls themselves are very affordable. Looks like calls to the UK are less than 2cents a minute.

Hi all!

I also have a pending order with Graeme and have not heard from him in quite some time. When I purchased my other whip from him, communication was great. I wonder what is going on? I hope that all is well with him. Just for the record, the ten footer I got from him a couple of months ago is really getting a workout this summer :whip: . I love the way it handles and that Spanish sun is really giving the kip a great patina. In any case I hope Graeme shows up around here soon.
Thwak!
