Wow!

I'm not that much of a fan of the TOD jacket but I have to say that is spectacular. I absolutely love the sleeves - that's just perfect. Great pockets and proportions too. Which hide did you use? Nicely done. How bout some outdoor shots?

And where'd you get the headpiece from the staff of ra?! That doesn't happen for another year or so when you track down Marion.

This is actually acquired from another member here, it was made earlier this year by Tony in the Happy Cow.

I only had a few minutes to get some quick shots together... I'll try to get some outdoor shots eventually, need a nice overcast day for proper lighting though.

Tibor - Haha, I wish I had a headpiece or something actually Indy for the shot... since these were quickies, the closest thing I had to grab was actually Wolverine's Logger buckle from Origins.

I never thought much about the ToD either, until the Wested getting NH's jacket thing happened... then I got one of theirs and wasn't that thrilled, although the pattern and hardware looked good. I had kind of let it go for a bit, then this popped up for me and it was really spot-on for what I felt a ToD was all about, and now that it's been on my back I am really liking it...and the pics just confirm what I was feeling in it's workings.

The Man - you really are one of the greatest contributers to the jacket world (here and on other sites). I love that ToD - it's becoming my favourite Indy. :TOH:

Thanks a lot for all the wonderful comments guys, much appreciated and I am glad you guys are seeing what I see in this one too.
The happy cow TN leather is awesome, as I only had to do some very minor touches to it on top of what it already seems to have in its nature. As nice and beat as it looks it is very much brand new in its build... a jacket that feels like it would laugh at being dragged behind a truck. :whip:

very nice! I picked up a WESTED TOD last for myself last christmas, seems pretty acurate and all (low yoke, small pockets, acurate back flaps) but this! this is temple of doom, that happy cow is perfect for the ToD feel, looks like you got a pretty nice fit too! love it! good luck with it

Hey ddm - I am glad you like your Wested ToD and yes I agree, as far as the pattern details and hardware the Wested version I had was great too, pretty much dead even in those areas. I just had a real problem with the look of the leather itself, the quality of the lining, and the basic longevity of the jacket on a whole was not too optimistic on the particular Wested I had so I let it go for what I got it for. I was really on the verge for quite a bit on getting another and trying a different leather and other materials, but in my personal Wested experience I just couldn't quite chance pulling the trigger again...then this Nowak popped up and I was already familiar with the great build quality although I hadn't handled this particular happy cow leather before, it always looked nice in others' pictures and turned out just wonderful in person.

How many inches of room in chest does it have?

tomek - the perfect amount for me. 8) not really sure how to quantify how much "room" in the chest this has for you as everyone has their own feeling on how a jacket should fit. Basically this is pretty close to what Ford's jacket sizing was, within 0.5" and about the same chest fit as my ROLA Ford sized jacket.
I zip it up and it's comfortable, I wear it unzipped and it's comfortable... I can try to get a pic of it zipped for you when I get the chance if that helps.

Spot on reproduction, looks good enough to transform the wearer into Indy on the set of the Temple of Doom. :D

Again I must state my hatred for this thread. I was convinced that I didn't like the TOD jacket....I keep looking at the pics and drooling....Now I want a TOD jacket... \:D/

My pocketbook however does not..... :x

I must not listen to my pocketbook and listen to my heart. My heart will "guard and protect" the jacket (bachelorette quote) ---

Seriously I must now formulate the way to get one of these beauties.....

afalzon - not sure what happened to my post in response to your question...but basically I had said -> I am descrete with regards to my jacket transactions with respect to the people I deal with on the other end.
But anyway, this jacket from Tony was $750 originally, and I believe the prices have been adjusted up a bit over the summer. I would advise contacting direct for the current $$, probably nowakpadawan@aol.com would work the best for email.

Does anyone know where this jacket ended up?

I know The Man sold it last year or so, and curious if it ended up with someone on the Board.

Obviously, I am in the market for a Nowak ToD, so if anyone had any leads please let me know!!

Regards,
Sean

Very nice.

Although the movie isn't my top pick, I've always felt that the TOD jacket is underrated. It still retains the fit and vibe of the original Hero jacket but with a 'richer' finish.
