i bought the resin made gun on ebay for 10 bucks and painted it using model paint (enamel) just wondering what you all think? i think it looks good for being a cast resin gun ,

Not bad, but it is pretty shiny. If you want to bring up the realism a notch, I'd
use some steel wool to sand down the finish a bit, and repaint it with a semi-gloss (satin)
spray paint. It gives a nice even coat and looks a bit more realistic.
The wood you could use most any brown spraypaint.
That's only if you want to of course. If you're happy with it that's what matters!

Gun blue might have been my first choice, but I didn't know if would have looked good on resin?

If you are refering to gun cold blue, it is for ferrous metals only.

Agree with the dull it down suggestion. Give it a light sand down to work out the bubbles, then perhaps wipe it down with a dry brush of matte paint?
