Original Raiders SFX Cable Whip

Hi all,

We recently displayed an original Raiders of the Lost Ark special effects bullwhip at San Diego Comic Con. The whip is built around a steel cable for strength.

I know that many Indiana Jones fans are aware of these whips, but I don't think one has previously been showcased.

Brandon, Solent, Thanks for sharing the link and photos here.

I had heard a few of the stunt whips still existed but I never had a chance to get a really good look at one until now. It's A bit roughted up, but a great item! There had been some speculation that the stunt whips where rubber castings over safety cable, but clearly the prop maker took time to actually plait over the cable and core material to make it look like the film whips.

That grail diary is pretty neat too, I bet there’s a lot of people here who would love to get a hold of that app :lol:
