Pretty pictures.
This 4th July looks like very pleasant day for whipcraking.

Regards.

In the first photo above, where I am wrapping Sarah's wrist, I'm using a Del Carpio 9' "Raiders" whip.

In the other two, it's Graeme's 6' "Raiders" whip.

Thanks for all the great compliments, guys! We had a great time doing it!

By the way, I'm waiting on more whips from both Bernardo and Graeme right now. Graeme is going to make me another 6' whip like the one above, so I will have a pair. He's also putting together another matched pair of whips, but I won't say what they are until I get 'em! (Shhh!!!!)

And Bernardo is putting together for me a matched pair of 7' Raiders whips, with slightly longer handles for leverage. I'm hoping to be able to use Bernardo's whips for some more of this close range cutting and wrapping, as well as for "fancy cracking" routines. But in the meantime, Graeme's whip is getting the job done! And can I just say that it was quite a bargain! This whip of Graeme's is kip, but I almost can't tell the difference. And as you can see, it performs very well under pressure. Best $100 I ever spent!

Daren

This photo is Graeme's whip, of course . . .

Hi guys! this is my first post here on the forum. Just started my journey down the whip road. I have to say that I am completely AMAZED that you guys could identify those whips just from the pics in this thread. To me they are just tan wiggly lines. Bravo people, bravo. :notworthy:

Hey rawvoodoo, welcome aboard!
In all fairness I must say that those of us on the whip forum are aware of Daren´s arsenal of whips, as he has posted each new addition here, as we all do whenever we get a new toy! I was able to identify Graeme´s whip (midlandwhips) mainly because of the length and the type of wraps/targeting that Daren is doing in the pics. I also have a whip from Graeme and its my "go to" whip. I am also expecting another one from him... :D
Cheers

Thanks all for the welcome. Everyone here seems friendly, not like most of the other forums ive seen. Its only been about a month since I got my first whip (not counting a brief and tragic stint when I was 6 after going to the circus) and Im already expecting my second whip. Also made a paracord whip per the instructions on instructables.com. There will be NO pics of this whip as it is fugly. One day I hope to be sure enough of myself to cut a flower from a beautiful ladies mouth. Also is there a thread listing all the makers. Im having trouble finding Graeme' site if he has one.

***never mind. Found it.

So here is a video I put together with the footage that Baldwyn gave me. (thanks, Baldwyn! Great time hanging out the other night!)

The long silent blacked out beginning is normal. But I'm probably gonna edit it again later, anyway.
