Does Indy have replacement gear?
Does Indy have gear to replace the types of gear he may go overboard with?

On account of confiscated guns and bullwhips and bullet-gashed jackets (Raiders), torn shirts and pants (ToD) and destroyed or lost shoulder bags (ToD/LC), I always interpreted all of Indy's gear as replaceable or surplus... EXCEPT his deliberately iconic fedora.

I imagine he spent time selecting items that worked and then did a bulk order!
I tend to agree with conceited_ape.
Everything is more or less disposable except the fedora- that contains a bit of his soul.

Considering Indy suggests he should sink a well down in the Venice catacombs and retire, you may very well be right.theinterchange wrote: Half the time, he looks as if he's trying to be an oil tycoon with that brim curl.
Randy
Maybe this is how he funds his extravagant wardrobe of adventure gear.

Put yourself in Jones' shoes for a minute. (Or, in my case... 28 years) How long does a pair of pants last. My very favorite british khaki pants that I wore to the first Gettysburg summit in 2002/2003 were go great, I bought two more pairs. Neither of them lasted past 2006. The were very screen accurate, but only for yard work and long hikes.
My favorite LL. Bean Safari shirt, the first one I ever bought? Ditto. It has a place of honor in my closet and I can't bare to wear it again. I've worn and washed it over and over again. I don't know how much Wear'N'Wash it could take.
I have a loved jacket. I wore it year after year after year... and the liner is wearing thin.
Then there was the gasmask bag that had my GPS and my camera in it that TSA held. That's a long story but I almost didn't get it back.
My Paratrooper combat boots lasted only three years.
The only thing that stood the test of time is the felt body to my adventurebilt. Our one-and-only Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull hatter brought it back to life.
All of this is over the course of 10 years. Besides my Adventurebilt fedora I've had to replace EVERYTHING. Especially my screen-accurate brown socks.
