the zipper was brass.
dont you all think that it would take more then just a few days, weeks even months after they got the
new jackets to develop that ''yellowish'' look on the zipper you all are talking about? does it not develop over
time because of the elements, stress and use? this makes me smile abit..lol.
in the 3 years I have worn my jackets with nickle zipper NON of them have turned yellow. not one of them. a friend of mine has worn a leather jacket for 8 years with hard use and im telling ya, the zipper has yet to turn yellow.. but sure, all the LC jacket zippers turned yellow. lol. they probably had a school student (who needed an extra buck) paint or wash every single teeth on the zipper to make it look yellow because they
really wanted a yellowish zip on all LC jackets. well if they really wanted a ''yellow'' zipper wouldnt it be easier just to replace it with an brass one? a tailor does it all the time and takes about 10 minutes to complete. or shall we just agree on that they were brass. what makes sence here?
Frankly, I dont care if they were silver or brass. I now when I want a jacket I want what my eyes are telling me. thats why I dont want an ''authentic brown color'' for raiders because my eyes are telling me the jacket was darker.
I know when things turn into this level of discussion, I have more important things to do then to sit here overanalyzing some zipper made on a jacket so many years ago... it all turns very geeky. oh and just alittle piece of advice, if someday some of you are going on a first date, dont mention this.
