I have a brent black... I'll say this, I got it wet, and bad things happened as would be expected... but the brim is different widths all over (I noticed part of this when it was still mint, prior to getting wet). I have a feeling it was made like that. Looking at the straws and the weave, I'm pretty sure the shape of the hat was what was affected by the light rain it received, not the brim width.

Any hat that has varying brim widths is not worth the cardboard box it is shipped in. that is clearly a poorly made hat. And I know a bit about panama hats, not nearly as much as I do about felt, and there is no way any hat can be worth $25,000. This guy is making, my estimation, $25,300 profit. If you are willing to pay it, go for it, but that is wrong.
