Lets post our photo's of US Wings awesome new jacket, the Antique Cow Hero jacket. It may be helpful when posting your photo's to add your height and weight and the size jacket you ordered.

I am 5' 9", 160 lbs. (guess?), 42 chest.

Size: Medium
back length from base of collar: 27"
sleeve, from shoulder seam to end of cuff: 24.75 left, 25.5 right (I know, I measured it a few times though:) )
shoulder: 6.5"
armpit to armpit: 23.75"
pockets: 7"w x 9"t

I'm 6', 160 lbs, the medium feels a bit loose. The armholes feel huge, but I'm used to Wested's ROLA which has a more fitted look. Thinking about sending it back for a Small Long. Would like the fit of this one to be a bit tighter without losing on the sleeve length.
Love the color.

Here's mine. My wife surprised me with it today, as we are celebrating our 10 year anniversary this month. I had no idea she had ordered it! What a great gift!
Sarge threw in alot of extras, including a bio about him, which is really a nice touch.

http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/221/dsc0893d.jpg[img]

http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/7585/dsc0900ac.jpg[/img]

I'm also wearing the hat and web belt that came with the jacket. I am probably the only gearhead here who actually did not own a web belt!

http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/7931/dsc0902jt.jpg
What can I say about this jacket that hasn't already been said! It is very light weight, feels broken in right out of the box, and my head swims with the strong scent of the leather. This is a superb jacket by any measure, and putting it on feels like coming home.

Richelle said that the folks at US Wings were very helpful, and kept her updated on the status of the order. First class all the way!

Yeah I think the arms are a bit too wide/big. I am probably going to need a medium. We'll see, when I get it.

The pics with flash make it seem REALLY bright and a copper color.. which isn't accurate.

I recieved the small size jacket today and I am "one happy COW'er." :D

The feel of the leather is the same as before, buttery soft, and the texture is outstanding! The color and uniformity of the individual panels and sleeves is outstanding! Without a doubt this jacket is my favorite Indy jacket, or leather jacket for that matter!!!

The fit: see the pics.

I hate people like you guys who can get an off the rack, generic size jacket, and have
it look like it was tailor made for you!!

When you see a jacket, any jacket, that fits as well as you two guys have posted
pictures of, it makes a 200 dollar jacket look better than a 1000 dollar jacket!

Its pictures like these that make everyone want a fine leather jacket, because we
all think its going to look as fantastic on us as it does on you!

To say the least, I am VERY jealous of how your jackets fit!

Most excellent!!!!!!!

Hey, Scot

can you tell me what your Small's sleeve measurements are from shoulder seam to cuff as well as the shoulder's from the collar to the shoulder seam? I'm about the same height and weight as you and my Medium feels baggy, but the sleeves are just right, could actually be longer (they ride up quite a bit with arms forward). I'm thinking of exchanging mine for a Small or a Small Long, depending on the sleeve length.
Looking good

Yeah, Scott, that new size looks really good on you. I'm glad for you that you went down a size. Great look.

The more I look at mine, the more convinced that this is probably the best OTR jacket that I have ever owned. I only put in the OTR because, well, we all know I am a huge Nowak fan. ;)

But, these jackets are absolutely incredible, made only more so by the generous deal Sarge has given us. So  to Sarge.

...but I'm too curious about the horsehide and roo in the works!
I have to say that I'm intrigued by the HH myself (the roo as well, but I have to be discriminating somehow!) And don't forget the striated lamb coming down the pike, gentleman. If it's what I'm hoping for, it should be one awesome jacket.

Yeah, it is a tough choice for those of us between sizes, whether to go with a Small or Medium. I'm tempted just to order a Small, return it if I like the Medium better, or sell the Medium if I like the Small. I don't want to risk exchanging it (I really like the jacket).

I'd say the fit of my jacket is somewhere between Scot's Medium and Small. Which is a little weird, since I am 5'10" 165 lbs, but with a 38 inch chest. I have a very lean (skinny) runner's build.

I am one of the "between sizes" cursed. Although I'm on the larger end of the scale. I'm between an XL and a XXL (I'm a 49 inch chest). I find that this specific jacket fits me very well in the XXL. Better than the Limited Edition Cowhide and the current Goatskin. The sleeves are long on me, but I have short arms for my size, and always have to have my sleeves taken up.

This, to me, is the perfect LC jacket (minus the distressing). I love the hide, which is thinner and lighter than the other cowhide. However, I do not recommend it for 90 degree weather! :lol: Still, I endured long enough for Canyon to take these;

Great photos...

So here's something interesting: When I ordered my jacket I asked for a smallish Medium, and gave some concerns about my sizing. Well I just took some measurements and it would seem that Wings really listened to me! Check it out:

Medium jacket
Chest, pit to pit: 23"
Sleeve: 25"
Shoulder to shoulder: 19.5"
Back length: 26"

Not bad. Actually pretty close to the measurements for a Small.

The only issue I really have with the size is the chest. I would really prefer something close to 21 inches.

I could use some opinions. I'm in between sizes as well and I think my jacket might be a bit too tight in the shoulders and body. I'm 5'9, 205 and the jacket is a Large. I have a 46" chest. I bought the Large because it's measurements were about an inch to an inch and a half bigger than my suit coat measurements in the chest and shoulder areas. Even though the jacket is a bit tight, I can fit a sweater underneath, so I really am not sure what to do. I'd like a little more room but don't want to 'swim' in an XL.

Image

Image

Image

Image

I tried to give a good idea of how it looked zipped and tried to get a close up of the shoulders. Any suggestions? It kind of feels too tight and yet doesn't at the same time, if that makes sense.

If I post actual measurements, could someone post some actual measurements from an XL?

Chest 25" if measured from the armpit seam, 24.5" if measured one inch below the armpit (Not the 25.5 as in the sizing chart)
Shoulders - seam to seam across back - 21" (Not quite the 21.25 as in the sizing chart)

I guess I should just order the XL and send one back... .

Rick, it looks borderline to me - snug in some ways, but good in others. I think you're idea is best; order a XL and send back the one you don't like. I did that with their safari jacket.

Sgt, thanks for the PM and the pointer. I hope others see it, too. A little sleeve alteration is nothing to be afraid of.

I love this jacket. Can't wait to see the next one! \:D/

scot, thanks for posting the pics of your small jacket! I agree, it looks better on you than the medium did! What's more, since we're close to the same jacket size, I know mine will fit me first time around! \:D/

Rick, I think the jacket works for you as is, though I can understand your concern. I guess I prefer a fitted jacket on folks. Perhaps if it was not even half a size larger, it would feel perfect all the way around, but I wonder if a full size up would be too baggy on you?

I also noticed the customer pics on the Wings site this morning. They definitely sell the product! :)

Indiana Holt:

I get 26.75" from the bottom of the collar stand. I think when I first got the jacket I measured 26.5". So either it grew ;) or my measuring skills need to be improved. Also, the jacket might look a bit shorter on me because of my t-shirt sticking out from underneath. Plus I've always believed that if you have broader shoulders, the jacket tends to not hang so much and therefore the overall length fits differently. (That's just a theory... :-k )

Everyone else:

I think you guys are right, and I think all along that I had a sneaking suspicion that it fits okay. I need to drop 5 to 10 lbs anyway, and when I do I'll probably have a bit more room as a I focus on cardio more so than strength training. That would definitely make the XL fit too big through the body.

Now if I can just lose some of that baby fat that I haven't been able to shake over the past 37 years...

PS I haven't seen my pics yet on the Wings site! My shorts, head cropped out of the photo, and t-shirt sticking out from underneath the jacket screams class! :P You wouldn't get that kind of look from some foo foo model, Sarge! ;)

Okay, gentlemen and women, carry on. Ignore my attempt at humor... .

I will agree with you.

Right now, you just have a tee shirt on. When the weather gets cool enough for you
to actually wear the jacket, and you put a sweater or sweatshirt on under it, its going to
be even tighter.

Look at Scot and Westons pictures. Their fit is great, with room to layer under the
jacket without it being too snug.

Since you have a 46 inch chest, you would be on the lower end of an XL. I think you will
be happier with a bit more room in the jacket, and it will also be a bit longer in the body,
and it won't look too short on you either.

Just the fact that you are questioning the fit means you don't like it. And if you don't
like it, you won't wear it.

Sarge will send you out an XL. Just get in touch with him, and get the jacket that fits
you the way you want it too.

Thanks for praise Sarge, I will keep a look out for the jacket when I see the movie. I have to thank my wife for taking the pictures and we got a big kick out of the fact you posted the picture on your website. Now she is teasing me about being a model.

Thanks to everyone for the compliments and Arca I will try to get sleeve measurements for you tonight.

I can't put in to words how awesome this jacket really is.

Rick Deckard wrote:I could use some opinions.

I guess I should just order the XL and send one back... .
Rick, my measurements are 45 inch chest at 5'10" and 207 lbs, so I'm pretty in between on sizes too. I got the XL and I feel like it is a good fit. I don't feel like I'm swimming in it, but there is definitely a looseness to it. In my opinion, I'll take that over a feeling of tightness anyday. You might want to try an XL. Sarge has said if you buy an XL, you can try them both and then ship back the one you don't want.

Yeah Sarge, my dad has lost one eye and has very little vision left in his other due to diabetes. If you are anything like him, you'd BETTER not be driving!!!!!
