terry jacka whip ?

hey guys hows it going

i wanted to know if anyone knows how far terry jacka binds his whips in the transtion on his de-longis style and how long the wrist loops are on the same whips

On Indy 4 bullwhips he binds 3ft I think, maybe a bit less on DeLongis style.

I have one, so handle length is 13.5 Inches, with transition when new handle length was around 24 inches.

Here is an example of the Indy 4 Jacka when it is new.... Definitely 3ft of baseball bat-like action!

And… A couple of both types for comparison.

Brooks, to my understanding the binding doesn’t just stop at a single fixed point, but rather reduces gradually down through the thong to produce a whip that flexes in a progressive manner. The wrist loop is roughly 8 inches, but as Bernie recommended if you want specific’s you are really better off asking Terry directly.

I can tell you that the Indy 4 whips are significantly different then Delongis model with the Delongis whips being a thinner, lighter whip with considerably less reinforcement binding in the transition. The longer handle & lighter weight also changes the action of that whip.
