David Morgan's 4th book?

Post by ST »

So I was watching this clip again http://www.king5.com/archive/60404367.html and at the very end the guy says that there is another book with a dvd that is coming out. I am just wondering if anyone knows anything more about it?

The fourth book is going to be detailed instructions on how he makes several different types of whips (bullwhip, stockwhip, blacksnake, etc). Several years ago David showed me a rough draft of it and it was laid out very well and was very easy to follow.

From what I understand the project is on temporary hold (I could be wrong and I don't want to speak for anyone, so don't take that as gospel).

As far as I know, and this I remember from talking about it over the phone with Bernardo, is that the video part was a video Will took some 10-11 years ago of David at work (perhaps a bullwhip? Can't remember).

Anyway, I'm all about David making this one his last book. It would be great to have the most significant (the only one?) expert in world whipmaking and whip history, explaining how to make the American pattern whips combining them with the praised Australian construction methods and materials.

Hope it won't be long before we see it.

ATB,

Aldo.

PS Louie, do you know if the video will be about making the stockwhip and blacksnake too? I only remember Bernardo talking about the bullwhips video.

I don't know much about the video (and this is probably not 100% accurate) other than it's somewhere 1 1/2 or 2 hour range (unedited) and it basically has David making a bullwhip. Take that with a grain of salt because I've only heard the video mentioned...where I've actually seen some of the book.

Great, thanks! Anyway, it will be quite interesting.

If only David could come up with a book everytime a new Indiana Jones movie hits the theatres. ;)
