Right now I'm ~205lbs. I intend to get to ~195lbs. and then assess my happiness with that weight and the amount of food/maintenance it requires before deciding if I want to go less weight. I'm a 38 pant size now, not sure if I'll be 36 by the time I'm done. My chest measures 44-45 and my shoulders are ~20.

Riot, I'm 209 lbs, 5'10", 45 chest, with a 36 waist and Sarge and Myke suggested I get the XL, which seems to contradict what Michaelson just said.

OK, now I'm starting to get frustrated. I already talked to those guys and they all said XL, but now someone with similar measurements but TALLER is being told large? Not sure what to do. Hopefully they'll exchange for me if I need it.

My friend, get frustrated AFTER you get the coat and discover it doesn't fit.

We are over 4 inches taller than you are, so the sizing WILL be different.

As has been said before, and has always been the practice of the company, anything found not to be sized right will be exchanged.

That said, I see where the confusion came from, and it was MY typo.

They DID tell him X-large. I was the one who tossed in the large sizing. My mistake, and corrected above. #-o

...but, that said, stick with what was advised size wise and see how it fits first before second guessing before it arrives. All errors will be corrected.

Maboot38,

They did not recommend a Large for me. I asked based on reading the size charts and comparing my own measurements. Myke and Sarge have both told me to go with XL. What I'm afraid will end up being the case is that I'm TOO tall for these jackets and I'll have sleeves that are too short. However, they said I should be good to go and the price is too good to pass up. I'm sticking with my original order of an XL for both the Hero cow and the NZ lamb.

I just got off the phone with Myke. It looks like they put the snaps on all the jackets. Since I requested no snaps I'll also have to wait for the next batch....

There was a mistake at the factory. So if you wanted no snaps you'll have a longer wait

Gotta a feeling I am one of the unlucky 8 on the medium size. :( I didn't place the actual order until May 27th, though I sent a reservation email to Sarge back on April 27th that went without response.

Post by Indydawg »

Ok, guys....talked with Sarge just a little bit ago...he specifically wanted to address the "unlucky 8 mediums."

One thing he wanted was for everyone to contact him with their height and weight. He had the feeling that there just MIGHT have been some flip-flopping going on with sizing during the lapse between the initial contacts with him and the time when the jackets arrived and folks started "confirming" their size. The jacket order was filled based on a certain number of each given size. That was based on what was given to Sarge back when this all started. If anyone changed from what they initially said-if, when they were contacted, instead of, say, the large that they pre-ordered, they gave the desired size as a MEDIUM...well, then that's ONE medium that was actually intended for someone else. See what I mean?

So...he just asked that I throw it out there that you guys contact him one more time, or post your measurements here...or shoot, just PM them to either Michaelson or me...it may be that these mediums that are "missing" are actually being claimed by guys who didn't initially WANT a medium, but now they do..

He's already working on having the 8 more made...21 days out from now is the expected delivery....but, if we could track down ANY of the errors, that would be one person who wouldn't have to wait.

Thanks, y'all!

Hmmm... I ordered a Medium quite a while ago, just a few days after the jacket was announced. I guess I'm good to go. I exchanged a few emails with Sarge regarding sizing, but we left my order alone and stuck with the Medium. Do I need to contact Wings again? I certainly haven't gotten a call from them.

Dawg did Sarge say anything to you about the jackets without snaps?

And you can mark me down as someone that changed their size. I originally ordered a medium but changed it the following day to a large via Sarge's email. I also confirmed it 2x when I made the request for no snaps.

Okay, game on! Mine's on the truck too. Don't know the date yet but probably will be 21 or 22. What are the odds you'll be home that day? I guarantee you'll be there, probably outside pacing up and down. I think we all know by now about what time of day UPS comes to our neighborhoods. Around here it's early afternoon as I sit on the porch with a cigar and the LA Times crossword puzzle. I remember the day I got my Wested. And the day I sent it back to England. And the day I got it back again...

I meant 'that's when the UPS truck comes every day'. I'm retired, you know. Maybe I'm the oldest guy on here! Anyway, I got the tracking number on mine and it'll also be delivered Friday. That 'signature required' deal could cause some of you fits if nobody's home when they come. Still, I fully understand why they do that. UPS will put it back on the truck the next business day which will be Monday - it will make for a long weekend.
