My 2nd jacket: Magnoli LC!

Post by steerpike »

Hallo friends,
Yesterday I got my 2nd jacket, the Magnoli LC. As there aren't a lot of pics of this jacket I just took some shots for you:

What do you think?
Comments are appreciated! :TOH:

Beautiful jacket and looks like it was made for you. Which, like Mitch said, it was but I'm sure you get what we're aiming at.

Could you post a close-up of the grain and of the pockets? It seems that we don't get to see enough of Mag's offerings that I'm really interested in the details on them. Collar looks good by the way, which is another of the LC's big characteristics.

Well don't worry. You can get snaps put in very easily locally. Really don't sweat it. The jacket details look really good even seems to have a black lining.

Very nice indeed, looks good on you.

I'd like to see more Magnoli jackets. It doesn't have to be just Nowak, Todd's, Wested and US Wings for Indy jackets.

Very, very nice jacket. The big LC collar looks too stiff but, after some wearing, it will look terrific.
I always thought that Magnoli was a great choice for the LC.

That is a very nice looking jacket. Good job on the pockets from what I can tell and the light distressing looks nice as well.

And Kt's right, any competent tailor can put the snaps on in a flash.

That´s a wonderful looking Magnoli LC jacket and you´re doing a good job showing it off with these good looking pictures! Congratulations! It´s good to see another Magnoli jacket posted around here. The collar looks fantastic, and I really like the distressing! Someday I have to get myself one of these. Enjoy your great looking jacket!

Thanks guys! Actually I'm wearing it everyday since a week.
My other jacket is Todd's standard, with I'm comfortable with too, but the big difference, is the fact that this jacket model itself perfectly on body, with wearing, besides Todds remains a bit stiff, if I compare them.
The quality of leather is very top high, and do I have to speak about the distressing? My dream come true! :TOH:

And for the snaps, I'll wait that Magnoli will send me the right one to put it.

Nice jacket, Steerpike. Magnoli does a great job.

Can you please tell us the height measurement of the collar stand and the width of the storm flap?

Thanks a lot.

Hatch: I love the distressing too! i don't know if there's the option for light or medium, but I asked for a total distressing: some details of the jacket are very similar to what we see on the movie!

St. Dumas: I'll post some measurement as soon as I can!

This is a standard distressing. We do offer a light distressing (which is more subtle) as well as a heavier full-LC style distressing.

Kind regards,

Just wanted to updated this thead to show the jacket after 3 months of wearing. IMO now it seem better, and the leather lost all the stiffness and conformated more to the body.

It was only a little pre-distressed - a bit of acetone along the seams. I've beaten the £$%^ out of it since though. It's looking even better now as a lot of the shine has come off it :)

Just printed out the logo off the computer, cut it out and pasted it onto the hanger - then put some varnish over the top to seal it :)

Nice jacket there, SP! The more I view the jacket, the more I think that it might be better to have a wide collar stand, maybe 1 1/4" so that the collar will stand tall.
