Last Crusade 21st Anniversary Whip from Joe Strain

Post by faststreetsofhongkong »

Wow. Joe has done it again. After I had him do the Raiders 28th Anniversary whip last year, I knew that this was the next project. Here are the differences:

*) The handle is 1/16th of an inch thicker.

*) The distance between the knots is shorter by half an inch.

*) The thong is thicker by almost an 1/8th of an inch.

*) The wrist loop is right at 6 inches.

*) The shape of the knot is distinctively LC.

*) The laces were cut a little bit wider.

Thanks again Joe! Awesome as usual!!!

Nothing surprising here: Joe is an AMAZING whip maker. I have four whips from him and they are all just so well crafted and so beautiful! Singing to the choir here!

I wish I could afford to have him make me a whip every month! And he would too if I could afford it. He works so FAST! I feel so spoiled living just a couple of states away. He's great to talk to on the phone, his whips are as beautiful as they get, his prices are competitive, he's super nice, and his plaiting is TOPS!

Kudos to Joe and congratulations to you! You will enjoy that for a LONG TIME.

Nice to meet you and thank you ,everyone. :TOH:
The whip in Joe's pictures is mine.Joe made it for me and he took some pictures before he sent to me.
I am very glad to be praised.

I go whip-cracking on every saturday and sunday with KoTCS bag. :whip:
I don't like that I make it decoration in the show case.

The whip can be cracked easily in nice sounds. :whip:
It is very beautiful , functional and excellent.

Thank you ,Joe. :TOH:

Is that the 28th Anniversary whip there in that last picture? It's darkening BEAUTIFULLY!

Beautiful examples of Strain's work...

Thanks for sharing!

All the best, and happy cracking.

Thank you , Dan!
Another whip in the picture is Joe Strain's, although it is not 28th Anniversary Raiders whip.
I bought it from Bernardo DelCarpio at "Cairo Bazaar".He ordered Joe to make it.
I think it is a special whip ,because one of top indy whip maker ordered one of top indy whip maker.
This is lighter than LC whip. But it is easily cracked in nice sounds ,too.
Joe is a genius for whip making.

That's a really nice whip! I myself prefer the fatter thong in the LC whips than the slimmer ones from Raiders. To each, his own!

Thanks Aldo. :TOH: Nice to meet you. ;)
I prefer the fatter thong in the LC whips ,too.
Because I am hard to be tired when I use the LC whip, altough it is more heavy than Raiders.
