Did Indy lose his HP in the Raven Bar fireplace?

Post by 3thoubucks »

...and have to buy a new one? I'm 99.99 percent sure this is what I'm seeing on my widescreen frame by frame DVD- After the shot throgh the flames of the Giant Sherpa dropping the pistol, in the first frame of the action on the other side of the fireplace, under the Sherpas hand, I see the top of a small round black cusion, likely folded between the side of the fireplace and the floor with a couple inches of the upside down Browning's grip visible. The gun maybe then falls flat and the top of the cusion bounces.

I have watched that over and over myself, and I don't see him recover it either, as he really has no time as he's trying to pull Marian out the opening in the wall. He may have gone back inside to recover it after we see them out in the snow, but I doubt it. I imagine he picked up another when he got to Cairo. Regards. Michaelson

I always just figured that he'd grabbed it when he and Marion were running out. After all, he left his whip lying with the poker on the floor, but when he's outside in the snow, he's coiling his whip.

I think he grabbed it.

You can't see any detail here, but on my TV, I can see the grip screw and the tab on the butt of the clip. I always thought it dropped in the fire and Indy would skip it. Image
