As I recall stefan hills sent Magnoli all the jacket details after examining the smithsonian jacket in detail.

Does anyone know if, or maybe Magnoli will answer, this is still Magnoli's standard LC jacket pattern?

Magnoli LC jacket ''JUST GOT IT BACK'' pictures

Post by Holt »

update.

I got the jacket back. I gave it t a family member and he decided today that I could take it back.

what can I say. after 2.5 years the jacket has grained beautifully and it has held up amazingly. the skin however had become very dull. I pecarded it today to bring out some life in it again. the construction of this jacket is TOP SHELF. so is the goatskin Magnoli use's. the skin really reminds of that strong goatskin that is used on those vintage G-1's

the color of this jacket was never 'authentic' brown. it was allways a grey/brownish jacket. just like those old G-1's. I love it! you can tell by the pictres that it isnt brown -brown. more dull grey/brown.

this jacket really feels like it could go thru WW2 and survive without a problem.

'nuff talk. here are the pictures.

if you go for a Magnoli you cant go wrong!

edit.

Holt, well broken in and looking good....a question, looks like you've lost some of your winter 'bulk up weight lifting' size....are you on a new training regimen ?? or just cut back on the heavy lifting........

Yeah, you were in danger of becoming 'non screen accurate' during that winter 'bulk up' phase........... ;)

That jacket looks terrific, Eric. Now, get one of those new ToD's that Magnoli has and show us what that baby looks like!

I'm wanting to but I'm going to have to wait until fall, so it's up to you!!

Great jacket  Magnoli's LC looks to me the best of all his Indy jackets. It has the same flavour.
Holt, two years later what would you say again about its details (having made in the meantime so many researches about the LC jacket)?

crismans. I have one of his temple of dooms. I got that a couple months after I got this one.

Rask. the details are perfect. I dont think there is a thing I would change on this jacket. it IS LC all the way. only thing that is different is that this is goatskin and more ready for real deal abuse.

and the thread he use's on his jackets. it is thick and sewn strong all the way.

In the new pattern? I was thinking your jacket was before he adjusted the vent details.

Hey Holt, did you train that collar with water? And mind telling us the height of the collar stand? Is that 1.25 inches?

no, I didnt. I havent had this jacket for two years or so. its just worn.

the stitching in this jacket is so tight and deeply sewn so it couldnt be hurt if I sanded the seams alittle. Im considering doing it.

I am not into fake distressing anymore, but this magnoli jacket really has the LC jacket magic I feel when seeing it on screen. it only misses the sanded seams' to complete it.

I just love the look of that 'fake' LC distress.

collarstand is 1''
